Hi all,

Hope you and your dogs are all keeping well, I’m missing seeing you all very much!

Well it looks like we have at least another 6 weeks before we can resume our regular grooming practices 🙁.

Just a reminder that current official government restrictions for dog groomers as follows:

‘Groomers may accept a dog to be groomed by appointment where this is necessary for the animal’s welfare and not simply for aesthetic reasons. Welfare reasons could include on veterinary advice for a skin condition or excessive matting causing the pet discomfort. When routine grooming can be delayed without affecting the pet’s welfare until the national lockdown is eased it should be put off’

Please be assured that as soon as I am able to resume, I will contact all my exciting customers to arrange an appointment ASAP. I will not be taking any new customers until I have managed to sort all my existing clients.

In the meantime, if you feel that your dog is suffering in anyway due to grooming needs, please contact me to discuss.

Examples of reasons for grooming in the interest of your dogs welfare could be as follows:

- Excessive or uncomfortable matting.

- Nails significantly overgrown which may be affecting your dogs ability to comfortably walk or if they appear to be curling round and at risk of embedding into the pads.

- Your dog has a skin condition which requires regular grooming to manage.

- Issues with eyes or ears which you struggle to manage yourself with regular cleaning.

I understand that the situation is a worry for a lot of you when it comes to your dogs grooming needs, however it is important that we all stay safe and well whilst doing what we can to help the situation at this time.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE**

The government have updated and tightened restrictions on dog grooming during lockdown.

It has now been stated that grooms can only be carried out to alleviate any suffering the animal might be experiencing or, if by delaying the groom, this will likely result in animal suffering or significant risk to health eg. if severely matted or if advised by a vet to manage a skin condition.

Groomers not adhering to these restrictions can be fined up to £10,000 and insurance policies are likely to be void.

Unfortunately, in view of the above, I am now unable to provide routine grooms and have to cancel my upcoming appointments until further notice 🙁.

**EXISTING CUSTOMERS ONLY**

I will be available to provide grooming services where it is considered to be essential for your pets welfare i.e. if your dog is in discomfort or their health and well-being is being significantly affected.

I know this will be disappointing news for you, as it is for me. I can only hope things will improve very soon and normal services are resumed 🤞.

Please rest assured that as soon as the current restrictions are lifted, I will be in touch as soon as possible, till then, please take care of yourselves and of course your beloved pets, I look forward to seeing you all again soon 💕
