We’re incredibly grateful to be working with The Pets Larder, who have gone above and beyond to support the animals in our care here at the centre. 💙

🐾 Forever Home Friday: Dennis Turns 4! 🎉🐶

Four years ago today, a tiny puppy was born in a barn — the product of backyard breeding, and in danger of facing a very different life. His ears were at risk of being cropped like his poor mum’s, and he was destined to be sold for profit, with an uncertain and likely heartbreaking future. 😢

But fate had other plans for Dennis. 💙
Thanks to the incredible work of the RSPCA Cornwall, Dennis, his mum, his siblings, and many other dogs were rescued and given the second chance they so deeply deserved.

That tiny puppy? He’s now Dennis — a much-loved boy, living his very best life with his forever family. 🐾

🐾 Forever Home Friday: Margot's New Beginning 🐾

We’re thrilled to share a heartwarming update from Margot’s (formerly Lilley’s) new family — and it’s safe to say she’s already made herself right at home! 🖤

“Thank you so much for choosing us as Lilley's (now Margot) new family! We feel so lucky to have welcomed her into our home — we’re already besotted with her."

Margot was a star traveller, snoozing peacefully all the way to her new home with no sickness at all! 🚗💤 Since arriving, she’s loved exploring her garden and playing with her new doggy pals Effy and Indi 🐕🌿

She’s a clever little pup and is already showing how responsive and eager to learn she is. She’ll be starting puppy classes this week at her new family’s vet practice — and all the staff there can’t wait to meet her! 🐶🎓

Her first night went beautifully, with a cosy sleep in her crate and not a single accident. She’s been soaking up all the cuddles and enjoyed her first walk in the local fields. 🥰🌾

Thank you to Margot’s wonderful new family for giving her the loving home she deserves — and for the gorgeous photos and updates! 📸

🐾 Dog Crate Appeal – All Sizes Needed! 🐾

We're in urgent need of dog crates of all shapes and sizes to help keep the dogs in our care safe, comfortable, and ready for their journeys, whether that’s to the vet, a foster home, or their forever family.

If you have a crate you no longer need, new or gently used, or would like to donate one, we’d be so grateful. Every single crate makes a real difference in the lives of our dogs.

Meet Ruby, a gentle giant with a heart as big as her paws! 🐾❤️ This sweet girl is wonderfully polite, walking beautifully on a lead and displaying impeccable manners wherever she goes. Ruby can get along well with other dogs, however confidently sets boundaries when she’s ready for a break. 🐶 She will need an owner who can manage her strength when she gets excited 💪 and continue to help her feel at ease around other dogs when out and about.

She’s a people-loving pooch 🥰 greeting everyone she meets with warmth and charm, and her love for food makes her a dream to train. Ruby is also an excellent travel companion thriving on car or van rides and eager to join her future family on exciting adventures to the beach or woods. While she has a solid foundation of basic training, Ruby would benefit from ongoing activities to keep her clever mind engaged.

She has shown that she does not cope well sharing her home with another dog as she likes being the centre of attention, and although she’s fantastic with people of all ages, her size and limited history mean she’d do best in a home with older children.

After a day of fun and exploring, Ruby’s favourite thing is to snuggle up for a cuddle 🛋️🤗 so a large sofa to share would be beneficial!

🚨 Rescue Dot: A Loving, Devoted Mum Fighting to Breathe Freely Again! 🐾

Meet Dot, a gentle and devoted 2-year-old French Bulldog who has already given so much but received so little in return.

Dot spent her life in an overcrowded, multi-animal home where she was used for breeding. She brought new life into the world time and time again, yet her own health and happiness were never considered. She wasn’t valued for who she was, only for what she could produce.

But Dot is not just a number. She is a mum. A truly wonderful mum.

She's raising her pups with unwavering love, patience, and care, even when she is tired, sore, and struggling to breathe. She cuddles them close even when she's needed to rest herself. She licks them clean when her own body is crying out for help. She's giving them everything and asking for nothing.

Now it's Dot who needs someone to care for her. 💔
