(To our lovely page followers....the hilarious content that follows here is for those unfortunate folks who never stayed here or heard of us! So here's what they need to know (with a comedy twist that I find hilario).

I have to put all this next bit on my posts so that you all know what we offer. But I've zhuzhed it up a bit. She doesn't know what I've done though. Risky. But let's go for it…..

More stuff about The Shepherds Hideaway……

I guess you’d like to know a bit more about staying here before committing yourself to booking though right….

🐾 It's called The Shepherds Hideaway. No clue why. It's not even funny. Oh no, I remember now…it's cos we have Shepherds huts that shepherds hideaway in so scary monsters can't get them. That's it.

🐾 It's near St Asaph in North Wales. Nothing funny about that.

🐾 Our pinned availability post, lists what we have available - https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Ae4qe7xei/

🐾 We have loads of ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reviews on Google and Facebook.

🐾 We have 5 self contained very dog friendly gorgeous shepherds huts each in their own large dog secure garden/paddock with parking right next to the hut. Lush!

🐾 The Suffolk hut doesn't share a fence line with another hut and is most suitable for reactive doggies. The Gypsy hut only shares a short fence line with the Clydes and we have screened off that between the two huts to help reactive pooches relax. Perhaps a cocktail, a massage and a pack of sausages would too!

🐾 each hut sleeps 2 humans plus some random number of doggies. How many doggies is up to you but we are not letting Norris McWhirter and Roy Castle see if you can break the record (tricky as they both are dead anyway!). Younger readers should Google ‘BBC Record Breakers’ for more info. You're welcome!

🐾 nightly prices AVERAGE out at about £51 low season (BASED on 7 night booking in Jan & Feb being £360) and about £71 a night peak season (BASED on 7 night booking in July & August being £500). Julie from Wigan….Please do the math before asking for a one night stay for £47 again. It's an AV-ER-AGE. Hardly my fault you were thinking about boys and not listening in Mr Andrew’s maths class is it?

🐾 dogs go free, cos they are lovely. Husbands and partners have to pay. They must always be made to pay.

🐾 all dogs welcome, especially big spenders

🐾 no limit on number of dogs (but more than 3 ask us about which hut best for you, over 20 and you need some help, like serious help!)

🐾 dog agility park which is exclusively bookable by one hut/group at a time and is really popular with our guests. It's free for you to use whilst you're here, including the day of your departure! Gold medals to those dogs that do it all on one leg!

🐾 dog wash area (it's a hosepipe with a fancy nozzle!)

🐾 walks from doorstep of your hut (by placing one foot in front of the other, over and over again)

🐾 secure 4ft (ish) high fencing and enclosed gardens/paddock for even for tiny dogs (apart from the Gypsy hut which is secure stock net fencing but not secure for tiny dogs like a Chihuahua. Border Terrier and upwards in size are fine though especially the fat ones). Seriously though, No jokes here. We take this bit seriously. Your dogs safety is important to us and we know It is to you. If your dog is safe, you are happy. If you are happy, we are happy. So the fencing is secure. Unless they can jump 4ft high. We have considered 6ft fencing, but it would ruin the views and not many of our furry visitors are that way inclined! We've never had a husband get out either. They are too lazy too!

🐾 dogs are allowed on furniture and bed, and to jump on your head and belly! Please bring some blankets/throws in case of Welsh weather.

🐾 towels aren't provided. So please bring some or just drip dry in the outdoor seating areas please.

🐾 own parking right next to your hut so your partner doesn't have to carry your stuff far.

🐾 Outdoor wood burning stoves and BBQs, charcoal available in our little gift shop (in order to bring on rain showers as soon as you light it, and thus keep the plants happy!)

🐾 firewood and kindling provided so you can keep warm and dry off after the BBQ

🐾 all huts have either their own wet room or bathroom. We have a hosepipe/dog wash to clean your husband.

🐾 all huts have either a kitchen in case you get hungry or thirsty. Or HE could take you out for a drink, maybe a meal. Takeaways also deliver to us in case you can't be bothered cooking.

🐾 We now have spanking new Starlink-based WiFi and it is amazing! It's so good we have had to retire all the Homing Pigeons which Sam used to sell to pay for his biscuit addiction. It's a shame TBH as that used to be a very profitable little sideline as they kept coming back to him eventually!

🐾 quiet, secluded site with lush views of the Clwydian range if you're sick of looking at ‘his’ miserable face

🐾 30 mins from Snowdonia by car. Other forms of transport may take longer. Walking is the slowest.

🐾 North Wales coast within 2 minutes by helicopter. About 15 mins by car.

🐾 around an hour from Manchester and Liverpool by car. No clue about helicopter flight time. I'm saving up for one now tho so….

🐾pubs and other dog friendly places nearby so the dog can have a pie and pint of lager after a long walk

🐾 fishing, cycling, walking, golfing, juggling, axe throwing and Welly throwing and many other outdoor and indoor activities available nearby in case the dog fancies a challenge!

🐾 Taylor Swift hasn't stayed with us, although she is more than welcome to, but she's everywhere else on the interweb so I may as well mention her here too and use hashtags like this as a shameless experiment in algorithmic manipulation woop woop in your face marketing professionals woop woop!!

Ho ho ho!

☃️🎁🎁🎁🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁🎁☃️

(Arguably a bit early this post, but my wife keeps telling me I don't plan ahead enough. Luckily I've just finished making my Halloween costume, got her Easter eggs sorted and now I'm posting this too, partly because we're already filling up for Xmas and New Year!!!)

☃️🎁🎁🎁🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁🎁☃️

We have limited Christmas and New Year 7 night availability including in our gorgeous Gypsy, Suffolk, Shire and Shetland huts here at the Shepherds Hideaway - VERY, VERY Dog Friendly, Luxury, Holiday Accommodation (the clue is in the name) near Snowdonia in gorgeous North Wales.

We're not 'dog friendly' because we allow one tiny hairless dog either, we are dog friendly because you can bring your entire family of doggos with you, and you and they can enjoy the freedom of being able to let them out in the dog secure garden that surrounds each hut. (Here's a recent post from one of our lovely guests to demonstrate that https://www.facebook.com/share/v/198SrTqyhw/ ). No teeny weeny gates and fences with roads and scary traffic on the other side here kids. Just lovely huts sat in lovely dog secure gardens and our guest only dog park about 1 minute walk on the lane from the main park entrance where the huts are.

If you'd like to hideaway in one of our cosy huts and sit beside a wood burner and just relax like a pro this Christmas or New Year you know what to do....

Just drop our Santa lookalike a WhatsUp message at 07900 304547 for info on what's available, pricing and all that jazz!

Cheers

Sam & Kath

ESCAPE the BONFIRE NIGHT maelstrom!

We have availability for the weekend of Friday 6th November in our gorgeous Shetland hut.

Book your escape now!

Available for the weekend, and available for longer if you'd like to hideaway for a few more nights.

The hut is gorgeous, there's plenty of room for doggo to sniff around in the safely fenced paddock around the hut and the wood burner will make everything and everyone feel luuuurverly!

We are already booked from the 1st in all the other huts by folks who already know it's a good plan!

Please WhatsApp us in 07900 304547 for more info, prices, dates, booking and possibly a hilarious text chat with a daft old bu**er who might be in a silly mood. No AI chat here kids. Just hoomans with random personality quirks and 3 dogs.

See you soonish!

It's closer thank you think....

Through the tall grass, beyond the hedge line to the East (or North, West or South depending on which way you're facing!) there lies a magical place......

Blodwyn has been there.

She is our Chief Sniffer of Places and Things.

She knows the stories of her elders are true.

She knows how wonderful it is....

If you're doggies would like to discover this magical place they'll need your help.

You'll need to book a stay with us here at the Shepherds Hideaway.

The way to happiness is often unclear and troublesome Grasshopper.

But do not fear. The attainment of happiness and inner peace is easier than you think.

All you need to do is use WhatsApp to message us at 07900 304547 for information about availability and our huts.

Send your message.....

Let fate do the rest.....
