🐾 TOO HOT FOR DOG WALKS THIS WEEK 🐾

With temperatures set to soar, all dog walks will be switched to drop-in visits for your dog’s safety and wellbeing.

☀️ Why?
Hot pavements, high air temperatures, and humidity can quickly lead to overheating, dehydration, and burnt paw pads.

🐶 What Happens Instead?
✔ Fresh water top-ups
✔ Toilet breaks in the garden
✔ Playtime and enrichment indoors or in shaded areas
✔ Plenty of fuss and companionship
✔ Welfare check and cooling support

🌡️ Hot Weather Safety Tips

• Walk dogs early morning or late evening only.
• Test pavements with the back of your hand – if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for paws.
• Always provide access to fresh, cool water.
• Keep pets in shaded, well-ventilated areas.
• Avoid intense exercise during the hottest part of the day.
• Watch for signs of heatstroke: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, or collapse.

🚨 Heatstroke is an emergency. Contact your vet immediately if you suspect your dog is overheating.
