I’m not sure where to begin with this post, difficult is not the word, but I need to write something, so here goes...

Hopefully by now all my regular customers have heard my news directly. If you’re reading this first, please do check your messages.

I know there are a few more occasional customers out there though, so I’m letting everyone know here that Just4Paws Dog Grooming is now closed with immediate effect.

Last week I received some devastating health news. I won’t go into the details here, but I can no longer continue with the work I love. It‘s truly been a huge blow for me.

To anyone who has ever brought a dog to me for grooming, believe me when I say it’s been an absolute pleasure and a privilege. I grew my business from nothing, made it into the small scale grooming service I wanted, and the dogs have become like my own extended canine family. Believe me when I say they will be truly missed. I was in my 13th year here and some have been coming here for almost all that time.

I’ve thanked as many of you as I can think of already, I sincerely hope I’ve missed no one out, but I’ll say it again, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I have valued each and every one of you and never taken your loyalty for granted.

That just leaves one final request from me. Please keep in touch, if you’d like to. I would love to hear all your doggie stories as I go through treatment. Feel free to post pictures here or just message me. I’ve resolved that no matter what, I will find something to smile about every day. What guarantees that more than our lovely dogs?

***CUSTOMER NOTICE***

Some of you are aware that I have been dealing with back pain for some time now, which has gradually become quite severe. Unfortunately, grooming dogs is tending to make matters worse and although I have tried to struggle through I’ve now reached a point where I realise I need to heed medical advice and take some time off.

Currently I’m waiting for scan results, so hope to know more then, but for now I am reluctantly taking a few weeks off (I’m thinking around 4), in an effort to rest my back and hopefully see some improvement.

I will of course be in touch with those customers whose appointments will be affected. Do bear with me as I go through my list.

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience. Should anyone need to go elsewhere during this time I do of course completely understand.

Customer Notice - Payments

With Barclays Bank Mold now the latest branch due to close, I have a huge favour to ask - If any of my customers currently paying me in cash could possibly change to bank transfer, I would be extremely grateful. Anyone reading this who is able to pay by this method, just let me know and I can send you my bank details.

Such very sad news this morning 😢

I like to think that the dogs of rainbow bridge, will be lining up to greet the wonderful Paul O’Grady today. Waiting to welcome a beautiful man who did so much good for their kind. I like to think he will be rolling around with dogs he lost, dogs he saved and dogs who simply heard of his kindness. Covered in fluff, smothered in kisses and loved, loved loved.

Thank you for making us laugh till we cried and for making a true difference this side.
You will be missed, never forgotten and always loved.

Rest in peace wonderful man.

Due to the ever increasing costs associated with the professional grooming of dogs, I’m afraid there will be an increase in my prices from January.

Some of you may recall that I committed to maintaining previous prices (which themselves had not risen for some time) for the duration of this year. I am pleased to have been able to achieve this, with Just4Paws Dog Grooming as a business having absorbed some of the increased costs. However, to do so for another year would simply not be viable.

So, with effect from 1st January 2023, there will be a £5.00 increase per groom.

Please remember that dogs brought to me receive a genuine 1-2-1 service, which is unhurried and carefully tailored to each dog’s needs, temperament and behavioural ‘challenges’. Despite this increase, I still believe I am offering a value for money service.

Thank you to all who have supported me throughout the last 12 years. It really does mean the world,
