🐰 It's Rabbit Awareness Week! 🐰
At Foxhall Vets, we’re celebrating all things rabbit and reminding pet owners about the importance of caring for their furry friends. Whether you're a seasoned rabbit owner or a newbie, there’s always something new to learn!

✨ Rabbits make amazing pets, but they require specialized care to thrive. Here's what to keep in mind during Rabbit Awareness Week:

🫶 Diet: Hay should be the mainstay of your rabbit’s diet. Fresh veggies, limited pellets, and clean water are also essential for their health.

🏡 Housing: Rabbits need plenty of space to hop around and explore. A large, clean living space with enrichment toys can keep them happy and active!

💪 Exercise: Like any pet, rabbits need regular exercise to keep fit. Let them roam safely and offer plenty of things to hop over and explore.

❤️ Health Checks: Regular vet visits are crucial. Rabbits can be masters of hiding illness, so it’s always best to stay proactive with their health!

🐇 Social Needs: Rabbits are social creatures and thrive with companionship—either from another rabbit or lots of human interaction.

If you have any questions about your bunny’s care, or if it’s time for a check-up, call us today to book an appointment!

🐾 Let's hop into Rabbit Awareness Week with love, knowledge, and care for our fluffy companions!

Happy Easter from Foxhall Vets! 🐾🐣

As we celebrate this season of renewal, hope, and joy, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for all of our wonderful clients and their beloved pets. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet holiday at home or spending time with loved ones, we hope this Easter brings you plenty of moments of happiness.

A few Easter tips to keep your pets safe and happy:
🔸 Chocolate and sweets: While they’re tempting for us, they’re harmful to pets. Chocolate can cause serious health issues for dogs and cats, so be sure to keep all sweets out of reach.
🔸Easter grass and decorations: These bright, colorful pieces might look fun, but they can pose a choking hazard if your pet gets curious and swallows them.
🔸Flowers and plants: Certain flowers, like lilies, are highly toxic to cats. Before bringing any flowers into your home, make sure they’re safe for your pets.
🔸Treats: If you’re indulging in some special Easter treats, remember that not all human foods are safe for pets. Stick to pet-friendly treats or maybe even a special Easter toy!

❗️With the upcoming bank holidays, please ensure you order any medications with plenty of time. We will be closed from Friday 18th April and will re-open on Tuesday 22nd April but will not receive an order until Wednesday 23rd April. Our out of hours clinic is Sutterton Veterinary Hospital, please call them on 01205 345345 if your pet needs any care during the time we are closed.❗️

As always, we’re here to ensure that your pets stay healthy, happy, and safe all year round. Thank you for trusting us with your pets' care and for being a part of our Foxhall family.

We wish you and your furry, feathered, or scaly companions a joyful, safe, and treat-filled Easter. 🐣🌸🐰

🌟 March is Pet Anxiety Awareness Month! 🌟

Our pets can experience anxiety just like us, and it’s so important to recognize the signs and help them feel safe and secure. Whether it’s fear of loud noises, separation anxiety, or changes in routine, there are ways we can ease their stress. 🐾💖

Here are a few simple tips to help your pet cope with anxiety:

1. Provide a Safe Space 🏡: Set up a quiet, comfortable area where your pet can retreat to when they’re feeling overwhelmed.
2. Stick to a Routine ⏰: Pets thrive on routine. Keeping feeding times, walks, and playtime consistent can provide comfort and reduce stress.
3. Use Calming Products 🧸: Consider calming collars, pheromone diffusers, or anxiety wraps to help your pet feel more relaxed.
4. Stay Calm 🌿: Pets pick up on our emotions, so staying calm can help ease their anxiety too.
5. Get Active Together 🐕: Physical activity can help release built-up tension and boost your pet’s mood.
6. Consult Us 🐾: If your pet’s anxiety is severe, speak with your veterinarian to discuss possible treatment options.

Let’s make sure our furry companions feel loved and supported, especially during stressful times. 💕 How do you help your pets with anxiety? Share your tips below! 👇
