This week i announced that Premier Aquatics Runcorn is moving!

Everyone has a lot of questions and I will be working hard over the next few weeks to to answer all questions and give a bit of a timeline.

This is a huge project for myself and the team, BUT we will do it and do it well, I will share our progress with you and bring you along for the journey!

I estimate that we will move during August and reopen in the new location in early September. Full details coming soon.

Bristlenose plecs are weird looking creatures! Im not sure if scientists have ever figured out the purpose of the males bristles?

We often sell juveniles as a great alternative to common plecs but people still house them in too small a tank, they do grow pretty large!

The adult Discus are all pairing off at Premier aquatics Runcorn, no eggs yet but several pairs are forming and lots of courtship taking place!

It sometimes amazes me, the places that my obsession for tropical fish has taken me! A poor kid from a Northwest council estate, eventually travelling the world in search of tropical fish and interesting fishrooms.

One of the most fascinating was meeting the nuns of Patzcuaro, Mexico in 2017, they are experts in Axolotl breeding and care and maintain a beautifully clean and tidy fishroom inside a beautiful old convent.

Its crazy when I look back on my fishkeeping adventures! And hopefully many more to come in the future!

People ask me all the time if you can have a cichlid community, this video answers that question well.

This tank of adult blue acaras has got along with no problem for over 6 weeks, then this pair spawned and all the other fish are confined to the top corner and cannot move without aggression from the pair guarding young!

Outside of breeding, these fish can usually be kept communal, when breeding they need ample space.
