Important notice: closure -

It’s with a heavy heart that I’m going to close hair of the dog for the time being due to a number of reasons two of the main ones being mine and my little boys health and well being.
I’ve always been honest with you all as you’ve not just given me your custom but also in many cases your friendship.
Unfortunately I’ve sustained a hand injury which will take a while to heal and due to the nature of the job it will only make the injury worse and unfortunately I can’t groom without my right hand.

Another factor is that Im not ready to leave my little one yet, I don’t want to miss out on his firsts and I want to soak in every second of him being this tiny as it’s already going to fast. If I sent him into childcare all my money from work would go on paying someone to look after him when it’s what I want to be doing most while his so tiny. It wouldn’t be fair to go back to grooming right now as my heart wouldn’t fully be in it as I’d be worrying about my son - it wouldn’t be fair that I’d be unable offer your dogs my full attention.

Hopefully in a year or so I will restart the business and see some familiar faces again as I love all your dogs so very much and do miss them dearly as well as chats with yourselves!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your custom,friendship and trusting me with your fur babies I’ve loved every slobbery dog kiss and wet dog hug!

Poor Rory caught bronchitis not long after birth and has only just shook it off so we haven’t had time to think about things properly yet. Rory decided he couldn’t wait to meet us and turned up 4 weeks early giving his mommy and daddy a shock!

Just a message to say that we are missing all your doggies so very much and all of our catch ups 💖
we hope you’ve found somewhere to take your babies while we’re off and I’m sure they will be taking good care of you until baby is here.

I’m sorry I’ve not been active on the page up until now or had time to reply to messages, I found it really hard having to finish for maternity leave early and had to take a break from looking at the page to try and get myself into an okay space mentally.

Here’s a little picture of my 4D scan, baby wasn’t planting ball so we are back for a re scan next week but you can see his little nose and mouth. We are already besotted and my 3 doggies can’t wait to meet him to. Future dog groomer in the making! 🥰

IMPORTANT POST - CLOSED FOR MATERNITY LEAVE:

Unfortunately yesterday afternoon I had to be seen by the maternity assessment unit. The doctors and midwife have made the decision that due to a number of medical issues I will be unable to continue with work any longer and I’ve now been signed off sick.
I have to follow the doctors orders in order to keep my baby safe, as any parent knows this is the most important thing and I’d never forgive myself if something bad were to happen because I continued to work against the medical professionals advice.

While I’m on maternity leave I’m recommending canine and equine or ministry of hounds (both are based in Rugeley and have a similar set up) and if your able to drive barking little beauties (based in Cannock wood with a similar set up). I know the ladies who own these will take such good care of your doggies, just send them a message over Facebook to sort out bookings. (Links to these pages are at the end of this post)

This is much sooner than I expected and both me and the girls are heartbroken about it. We adore your dogs and value your custom and friendship so very much. We want to personally thank each and every one of you for letting us look after your fur babies, we’ve loved every single minute of it and will cherish all the doggy cuddles forever.

I will be returning in the new year let you know dates closer to the time as this depends on the date my baby is born and how I cope afterwards (I’m unsure how I will be as this is my first baby).

I’ve messaged everyone who had an appointment booked in to let them know and wish I had the time to message each and every one of you personally but we have so many dogs on are books that this just isn’t possible but please know how grateful we are.

I will keep you all updated with baby posts and I’d love to be sent photos of your doggies while I’m off as they will be missed so very, very much. 💖

Please bare with me with replies atm, I’m juggling hospital appointments along side grooming your babies. As I’m high risk I have more appointments then a low risk pregnancy would have.

- unfortunately I won’t be taking on new clients until after the baby is here as our books are full currently and I want to make sure that there’s not a huge wait in between grooms for our lovely regulars
