Hi, my name is Maddie.
I am currently studying to become a Veterinary Care Assistant and have been developing my knowledge and skills in this field for the past eight months.

I am aiming towards becoming a registered veterinary nurse in a few years time.
I am particularly interested in continuing to build my confidence within a clinical environment, learning from experienced professionals, and expanding my practical skills.

In my spare time, I enjoy going on weekend trips away with my partner Jake, spending time with friends and family, spending lots of money and caring for my own animals, my dog Mabel and my cat Monty.

Hi, my name is Jordan!
I have been in practice since leaving school (2017) and have worked my way up from a kennel nurse student to qualifying in March 2024 as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, I recently moved to this practice this year! I love nursing consultations and helping owners with information giving them advice, recently developed a passion for general anaesthesia and patient care! I also love to go travelling around the world ! 🙂

Hi, I’m Sam 👋

I’ve been a veterinary nurse at Number 1 Vets for nearly 15 years, and I still genuinely love what I do. I enjoy all areas of nursing, but anaesthesia is definitely my favourite 🐾 I also hold additional qualifications in anaesthesia and dermatology, and I’m currently studying for a Clinical Canine Behaviour Diploma—always looking to learn more and improve the care I give.

When I’m not at work, life is just as busy with my family and my four dogs, who definitely keep me on my toes and remind me every day why I love this job ❤️

Hi, my name is Holly. I have been working in veterinary practice since 2013, and qualified as an RVN in 2016.
Outside of work i enjoy spending time with my husband Wyl, daughter Mallory, and my two dogs Boo and Ragnar, walking over the chase and finding a nice pub.
I love every aspect of veterinary, but mostly enjoy medical nursing and helping in theatre.

Hi, I'm Laura, Senior Veterinary Nurse here at Number 1 Vets.
I have worked in veterinary practice for over 20 years, and became a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2011.
I love working here because I get to use a wide variety of my nursing skills and no two days are ever the same!
My favourite place to be is in the operating theatre, where I also keep track of all the stock to make sure we have everything we need to look after your wonderful pets!
At home I have two beautiful black cats, Hendrix and Beck, enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and adding to my growing collection of all things black cats, gothic and spooky!

Hi, my name is Besh! I have been working in veterinary practice since 2009. I qualified as an RVN in 2016 and have since worked in Staffordshire, Gloucestershire and Shropshire. I joined the Number 1 Vets team in 2023.

In my spare time I am a mommy to my 6 year old daughter and enjoy reading and spending time with my family and Bernese Mountain Dog “Winnie”.

Hi, my name is Hannah and I have been a Registered Veterinary Nurse for 4 years. I live at home with my partner, Tom, my cockatiel, Beege, and our four guinea pigs, Macadamia, Cashew, Pistachio and Pecan. In my spare time I enjoy doing anything arty and creative, whether that be stitching, crafting or drawing.
My favourite part of being a Veterinary Nurse is being able to nurse poorly animals back to health, and also seeing pets regularly for routine nursing consultations!
