How sad 😢
We have only gone and done it .. we got ourselves a troll 😱😱🙈😂
So, we wish to dedicate this post to all those people that have been bullied or trolled because we want you to remember the most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths.
These people have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen.
If people are hating on you it's often because they are: 1. Threathened by you, 2. Jealous of you or 3. Feeling like you're above them so they put you down to feel better about themselves.
The greatest people have haters for a reason, so take it as a compliment. Haters gonna hate.
And on that note… our very own hater / troll has given us the most fantastic opportunity to blow our own trumpet and share some awesome facts about the rescue & the work we do.
So, thank you Anon for this delightful comment and for giving us an opportunity to clarify our position as a non-profit dog rescue.

LOST DOGS
Endless hours spent tracking & capturing local lost dogs, reuniting them with distraught loved ones.

Hosting weekly enrichment days at our Curborough Kennels for neuro divergent children & young adults, working with local schools.

CARE HOMES
Visiting local care homes with our therapy dogs. Providing comfort, care, enrichment, fun & laughter to our elderly community, which is particularly invaluable to those suffering from dementia.

CANINE COMPANIONS
Pairing senior dogs with lonely, isolated or elderly locals, giving them comfort, friendship & confidence via our Canine Companions Program. The dogs remain under the M> umbrella, with all veterinary costs covered by ourselves, along with regular welfare visits from the team, assisting with walking & transport.

EXPERIENCE
Offering work experience placements, Duke of Edinburgh Award placements, hands on Animal Care experience to our younger community.

SAFE SPACE
Working with the Police, Social Services, Vets & Dog Wardens offering a safe place for them to bring lost or displaced dogs, when their owners have passed away/experiencing difficulties & the dogs have nowhere to go.

DOG SURRENDER
Offering our community a place to safely surrender their dogs when their personal circumstances change. Dog rescue is currently in crisis. All dog rescues are either full, making difficult decisions or being forced to temporarily or permanently close their doors. The knock on effect is that more & more dogs are being dumped, needlessly put to sleep or rehomed on local social media/selling sites with the risk of being bought as bait dogs.
EXPENSES
We do not receive any official funding. Our founder runs three businesses to cover the costs of The M> - paying for the all of the monthly services to dog food & veterinary bills out of her own pocket. To give this some context, our average veterinary bill is between £6k - £10k a month & the dogs eat around 80 tins of dog food EACH DAY... & We all know how expensive our service bills are at the moment! We appreciate the donations we receive from the public, every little helps, but our founder works very very hard to fill the gap.
ADOPTION FEES
Like ALL dog rescues we charge an adoption fee each time a dog is rehomed BUT as all rescues know and are painfully aware of, adoption fees do not even come close to covering the costs of rescuing a dog let alone running a rescue! Blimey, if they did then RSPCA, Dogs Trust and Battersea wouldn’t need to advertise on TV asking for donations.
Every venture, every organisation has to start somewhere. It’s a journey and like all things that matter, there will be hard times & bumps along the way but it’s during the hardest times that lead to the greatest moments. Despite all the challenges we don’t give keep up.
And because we’ve never given up, we have kept going through all the storms and this is why we KNOW our community are behind us now when we need them & we KNOW they will support us in any way they can, whether that be donations, helping painting or simply word of mouth. We are part of our community, so we dig deep, pull together & we continue...

Wouldn’t it be an amazing world if there was no longer a need for dog rescues because we exist only to help those dogs less fortunate a chance to live.
So, in conclusion folks, if people are trying to bring you down, it only means that you are above them!
And, as Winston Churchill once said “If you're going through hell, keep going. Kites rise highest against the wind - not with it.”
