🐰PLEASE READ - RABBIT WELFARE UPDATE🐰

In the past few weeks, we’ve seen a huge rise in requests to take in rabbits. Sadly, our waiting list is already long, and we must prioritize those who have been abandoned and are in immediate danger.

A large number of rabbits on our waiting list were bought from pet shops without owners being told vital information such as the fact that rabbits must be neutered once sexually mature, otherwise they will
often fight and may suffer serious health issues.

Before bringing any animal home, please take time to research their needs. Even better, consider adopting from a rescue you’ll give a rabbit a second chance and help free up space for another life in need.

🌿Key Rabbit Welfare Facts:

• Both male and female rabbits need neutering to prevent cancers and behavioural/hormonal problems.
• Rabbits require annual vaccinations to protect against Mixi, VHD & RHD2.
• A hutch alone is not enough the minimum enclosure size is 3m x 2m x 1m.
• Enclosures must be secure, predator‑proof, and filled with natural enrichment to support healthy behaviour and wellbeing.

Rabbits are social, intelligent animals who need space, stimulation and companionship.

Sharing this information will help protect rabbits and support responsible ownership.

Christmas time is usually filled with lots of our favourite foods, drinks and festivities however, some are toxic to our pets and must be kept out of paws reach 🐾

Here is a list of just some of the Christmas pet dangers:

❌ Leeks, onions, garlic
❌ Chocolate, sweets
❌ Nuts, raisins
