Today, June the 8th, is National Upsy Daisy Day. How many of you say ‘upsy daisy’ when gently encouraging someone to get up from a small stumble? It’s a nice little phrase, isn’t it? Childlike. Full of hope, support and positivity. This day was created by Stephanie West Allen in 2003, to focus on getting up “gloriously, gratefully and gleefully” each morning.

Having budgies certainly makes me feel grateful each morning!

Did you know budgies are one of the smallest types of parrots in the world? Tiny but full of personality, these little birds are incredibly social, intelligent and love a good chat!

We see all sorts of birds and parrots come through the centre, and right now Denim & Jeans have just flown the nest to their forever home 🩵
