Why is a raw diet healthier for your pet?
It keeps their body in a state of ketosis, which uses fat for energy rather than carbohydrates for energy. If your dog is eating kibble or an alternative to raw, he or she will be eating external glucose from carbohydrates which means the insulin levels from your dog needs to be increased, as insulin is a hormone which removes the external glucose from the blood sugar levels. Over time, this repeat process will cause their body to become insulin resistant (also known as diabetes in humans).
