We have a lovable working cocker called Ned, and contacted Tracey to help us with regaining control both during and at the end of walks. Ned has always been energetic and fun loving, so finishing โplaytimeโ seemed hard for him to manage, and we were struggling to bring him under control. This led to him running away from us, when we wanted to put his lead on. We realised that our โploysโ to do this, just meant more fun for Ned. We were at the point that we would only let him off lead, if he had a long trail lead attached.
From our first meeting with Tracey, it was clear she had a different training approach, along with a real love and affection for dogs. She was remarkably calm and unfazed on our first outing, and embraced Nedโs foibles and character. Traceyโs strategy was to build trust and confidence between us and Ned, allowing us to take back control. It worked, and her guidance and training have brought the fun back into dog walks, with us feeling more confident and less stressed. And more importantly, Ned enjoys many more off lead outings!
After the initial training sessions, we asked Tracey to take Ned out two days a week for walks. This has been happening for over a year, and we have seen a huge improvement when out with Ned, to the point that he now willingly makes his way to the car off lead, at the end of a walk. We can take no credit for this, but are hugely grateful.
Tracey is professional, reliable and flexible, as well as being calm, friendly and approachable. She has a real affinity with Ned and is happy to share her knowledge, and provide hints and tips. We know that Ned is in very good hands, and is having an amazing adventure on his walks with Tracey.
