☀️🐾 How hot is too hot for our dogs? 🐾☀️

Warm weather can become dangerous for dogs very quickly — especially at busy outdoor events where shade and cooling areas may be limited.

Please use this guide to help recognise when conditions may no longer be safe for your dog.

💧 Dogs at higher risk include:
• Flat-faced breeds
• Puppies and senior dogs
• Overweight dogs
• Dogs with thick coats or breathing issues

🚨 Message to outdoor event organisers:
If temperatures become unsafe, please encourage dog owners to leave the event and take their dogs home to cool down safely. No dog should be left struggling in extreme heat for the sake of staying at an event.

Signs of heat stress include:
🐶 Heavy panting
🐶 Excessive drooling
🐶 Lethargy or confusion
🐶 Vomiting
🐶 Collapse

If your dog is showing any signs of overheating — leave immediately, cool them down, and seek veterinary advice.

Our dogs rely on us to make safe decisions for them ❤️

👉 You don’t need a perfect dog.
👉 You need a dog you understand.

Progress > perfection.
Connection > control.

Because at the end of the day…
It’s not about having the “best trained dog”
It’s about having the best relationship.

Sometimes we label dogs as:
“stubborn”
“naughty”
“hard work”

But what if we flipped that?

👉 What if your dog isn’t giving you a hard time…
👉 They’re actually having a hard time.

Behaviour is communication.
Barking, pulling, ignoring — it all comes from somewhere.

💡 Fear
💡 Confusion
💡 Frustration
💡 Overwhelm

The moment we stop taking it personally…
Is the moment we start helping properly.

🐾 Train with understanding, not frustration.
