🔆Set to be a scorcher this week 🔆 My best advice for outdoor bunnies is to bring them temporarily inside if in hutches or sheds, sheds and hutches can get extremely warm.. If this isn't possible move the hutches into shade, you could fashion a light coloured fabric sail over the hutches like old bed linen for extra shade. Provide them with cold tiles and frozen water bottles and some cold veggies. A light spray mist of water over face and ears. Grass is cool, move your buns into a secure run on the grass with something to shade it over the top and a bowl of water at all times. No rabbit should only be left with a bottle in this weather, bottles warm up and it takes more effort to get water from them.
If your rabbit's already indoors then they are in the best place, draw curtains keep windows ajar for some airflow and provide a fan if you're able to.

New arrivals Dave and piggies Sweep and Dave, Coco's leaving later today. Sheldon and Pixie, Coco and Nibbles, Buddy, Trio Pixie, Billy Bob and Butter Cookie. Gus and Waffle.

It's always lovely and cool inside the Rabbitry during summer. I'm currently fitting some insulation inside the shed at the back of the garden for the outdoor rabbits, I've already fitted a temporary shaded sail over the top of the shed for a little extra shade and I've placed the gazebo up to help shade the side panels, there's Aircon and a fan inside and so far it's been cooler inside than outside but with temperatures set to rise some more I think some extra insulations needed for peace of mind. Frozen water bottles and cold tiles on hand ready for next week 32! 🫠🥵

Just another update on the YURVAC vaccine 💉🐰.

It's still not mandatory just yet but strongly advise to get this if you can. My own have already been vaccinated with this. This WILL be mandatory in 2027.
