Good evening puppy people, today we had Poppy the spaniel back for her usual wash, dry and cut. Very calm and pleasant. Looking forward to seeing her again soon.

Bear the toy poodle enjoyed most of his wash, dry and poodle cut but got a little bored towards the end, not sure if I was going too slow or if he missed my singing.

Archie the rescue sh*tzu simply put, doesn’t enjoy being at the groomers, I don’t take it personally! But we managed most of his groom before he eventually decided he’d had enough and it was time for home.

Happy Monday, I’ve had lots of cuties come to see me today.

Trixie and Albie the sh*tzu siblings looked after eachother whilst in the salon and enjoyed listening to me singing my usual 90’s pop.

Milo and Rocco, also siblings but this time chihuahuas popped in for a quick nail trim, sadly they didn’t get time to hear me sing.

Ruby the beautiful old collie. Came back for her usual wash, dry and trim. Stood very well on the table, she’s such a lovely old girl.

Finally Oscar the miniature schnauzer had his teeth cleaned. Not all dogs like it but Oscar behaved perfectly allowing me to brush them with no problems.

We’ve definitely had a fun Friday with beautiful dogs in abundance. Tilly and Bella came to visit us for the day, Tiny Tilly is a regular, in fact she definitely thinks our house is her 2nd home. Meanwhile bouncy Bella had her first visit, she was an absolute joy and we can’t wait to see her again.

Cavapoo Cookie had his usual wash, dry, cut and hugs, the hugs are his idea but who am I to complain.

Teddy the King Charles spaniel had his last day at “In The Dog House” (another local and very good dog boarder), which means he came to visit me for a wash and dry to make sure he goes home smelling luscious.

Oscar the bichon frise was very well behaved during his groom, but may have been a little too relaxed as all he wanted to do was lay down on the job, not ideal Oscar but you’re cute so I’ll let you off!

Marley the spaniel has his bi-annual trim, he got a little bored whilst I trimmed his leg feathers so we watched a bit of YouTube together, apparently he likes watched the Brummy Mummy.

Finally Creed the loving Bully XL popped in for a wash and dry. He kept nuzzling himself into me; such a cutie.

Well, after a very busy weekend where I hardly knew what dogs were coming and going, today has been a little bit quieter. In fact our last boarding doggy went home today as we said goodbye to Roxi; and the house feels oddly empty, don’t worry, I’m sure it won’t be for long.

Over in the grooming salon, Benji popped in for a wash, dry, de-shed and nail trim and wow was it a good de-shed, in fact so much so it was like he was with me for the rest of my day, on my uniform, in my hair, eyebrows etc. etc.

Crumpet the cute little cross breed was a very brave girl letting me cut her nails as part of her groom, normally she’s not impressed at this idea, but today it was no bother at all.

Finally Teddy the Cockerpoo came to see me, he has’t been for a while due to my diary being very busy which meant a few more tough bits to deal with than usual and he had to be cut a shorter than me and his humans would like, after saying that I’m sure he will feel a lot cooler heading in to the summer; which hopefully is going to re-appear any time now.

It’s been a very busy transition day as we said goodbye to cousins Pepper and Maggie whilst their favourite humans were at a family wedding. They were both incredibly cute during their stay in fact you’d hardly know they were here at all.

Over in the grooming salon, Coco the Cavapoo came for a visit, he really doesn’t like going to the groomers even though we’ve had a chat before about how I’m really a nice person, but the nice vet gave him a little tablet and today was a bit calmer; think we are on to a winner.

Blue the puppy Collie came in next for her first visit. He was very excited as you would expect any puppy to be; apart from he’s 12!! Age is definitely suiting him well.

Finally we ended with chilled Archie the cavapoo who was as lovely as always. He enjoyed giving me lots of kisses.

Hope you’re all having a great weekend, my fingers are crossed it’s going to get a little bit sunnier again.

Charlie the lovely lab had a very successful de-shed, loosing about half of his own weight in fur. Honestly I thought about making another lab out of the left overs.

Clemmie the poodle was very well behaved, we popped on a few tunes and had a great time grooving whilst you groom.

Bonnie had her first visit to my salon. We often have the pleasure of this little cockerpoo coming to board with us and it was a a treat getting to groom her as well. She was as perfectly behaved as I would have expected her to be.

The cousins, Pepper the Bichon frise had her teeth cleaned and Maggie the cavapoo had a little summer trim. My day has definitely been made brighter by all these lovely dogs than it has by the sunshine

Apologies folks for not posting an update yesterday. No sooner had we finished celebrating my 39+1 birthday, it was our 20th wedding anniversary. My husband insisted I put down my phone and scissors in order to go out for an evening meal. Anyway, enough about me, let’s talk doggies:

Willow the great dane cross northern Inuit had a wash, dry, de shed along with a little nail trim. She’s a very well behaved gentle giant who looked after her 7 month old baby sister Bailey the very happy german shepherd. We listened and laughed along together to my new favourite podcast 40ish.

Pepper the beautiful bichon frise her her usual wash, dry, trim and hugs. Don’t worry, the hugs are free. 😆

Ellie the dachshund popped in for a quick nail trim. If I said she hates it that would be an understatement, but actually I think she’s getting a little better.

Prada the loving Bully XL also had her usual wash, dry and de-shed. A very happy and giddy girl who’s not shy at handing out her kisses.

It’s been a gentle first day back after a few days off to celebrate my birthday.

First up Arthur the double doodle and his first time visit, he’s a rescue dog who’s now enjoying his forever home. Very handsome but didn’t like his feet being touched and he told me so, looking forward to seeing him again soon.

Buddy the spaniel was a very polite little fella, such a good boy. He tried a new style today which I think makes him look a very dapper chap.

It’s virtual Friday at the Furry Pit Stop as I head into a little cheeky break to celebrate reaching level 40 in life.

But before that here’s a recap of your precious pooches from today. Ronnie the spaniel had a wash, dry and cut after recovering from an injury. Good to see him again and hope he will be back to full fitness soon.

Archie the King Charles spaniel was a little fussy about having his feet trimmed, he looked longingly into my eyes for the rest of his groom. Special shout out and a huge thank you to his owner for my birthday present.

Benny the pug had his first visit. He will definitely be feeling a lot cooler after leaving loads of fur behind post his de-shed

Poppy the deaf Labrador x staffy came back for her routine wash, dry and de shed. Absolutely love her, she’s such a sweetheart.

And just like that its a wrap for the last grooming roundup in my 30’s. According to my family, future posts will be much shorter as I won’t be able to groom as many dogs in one day once I turn 40, and I will require more cups of tea and even more rests in between grooms. Aren’t kids sweet???!!!

First up on a rather grey Monday morning was Buddy the spaniel x sh*tzu. Back for his usual wash, dry and cut. A pleasure as always and definitely brightened my day.

Trevor the sh*tzu didn’t like his eyes trimed but we came to the agreement if he let me I would give him his favourite treat that his Mum left with me (don’t tell him I would have given it to him anyway).

Baxter the sprocker and Cooper cocker x King Charles cavalier puppy. Baxter is recovering from the snip so couldn’t get wet but was very welbehaved otherwise and needed to look his best ready for a 1 year birthday celebration with his puppy siblings. Cooper had his first ever puppy grooming session. Not 100% sure about the drier yet. When he wasn’t being groomed he spent most of the time laying in my foot and gave me side eye when I tried to move.

Bisto and Rolo the two jackerpoo siblings. Bisto bounced everywhere while Rolo was relaxed which made it perfect for a little alliteration.

Jax the 12 year old Labrador had his first visit. A little timid but with some treats and reassurance from his owner we got there, teamwork makes the dream work.

Frank the show cocker had his first handstrip. Hopefully he will be much cooler.

Rocky the bulldog rocked up for his usual wash, dry and nail trim. Very well behaved on the table as usual and made a lovely end to my day.

Tiny Tilly (although she’s getting a bit bigger) had a playful day with us whilst her favourite human was at work. Unfortunately Rosie the spaniel went home after a couple of nights at ours. That’s the only problem with dog boarding; having to give them back.
