Bjorns Buddies

Bjorns Buddies Dog first aid trained, CPD certified. Balanced trainer and dog walker

17/06/2026

After a lot of thought, I have made the difficult decision to close the dog walking side of Bjorn's Buddies and return to full-time employment from 1st July.

Running this business has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, but with the increasing financial pressures of running a small business, I have had to make the decision to seek more stable full-time work.

I want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to every client who trusted me with their dogs over the years. Whether I walked your dog once a week or every day, it has been an absolute privilege to be part of their lives. The relationships I've built with both the dogs and their owners are something I will always cherish.

To every wagging tail, muddy paw, excited greeting, and adventure we've shared – thank you. Your support, loyalty, recommendations, and kindness have meant more than you know.

This isn't a complete goodbye. While I will no longer be offering dog walking services, I will continue to provide dog training on a part-time basis in my spare time around my new job. So if you need training support, behavioural guidance, or help with your dog's development, I'll still be available.

My final day of dog walking services will be 30th June.

Thank you all for being part of the Bjorn's Buddies journey. It has truly been an honour.

Hello all.

Just a reminder I am on annual leave now from the 25th for the full week. Celebrating me and my wife's 3rd wedding anniversary and having a good rest.

Also an update on something else. Some of you are aware I've been going through some medical tests. I've not been feeling quite myself these last few months. Very fatigued, low mood etc. so I have medical tests coming up that I don't know the dates of yet. They could be given with plenty of notice. Once I find out when they are I will give notice as soon as possible.

Enjoy yourselves and the sunshine. And be responsible in the heat with your dogs.

🚨 hi all!

Weather notice. I knew it was coming, and it's here..

Walks in this heat are to either be shortened or cancelled, breed & health dependent on the cancellation of the full walk.

Walks may be turned into home visits.
All I care about is making sure your dogs do not get sick or worse. I can take my hoodie off, but our dogs can't take their fur off.

As we get more acclimatized from the miserable winter we have had I will assess accordingly.

Anything post 24°c is a big no from me.

Hope everyone understands
Jack

Hello all.
After some careful consideration. I am making the decision to increase my rates due to the rising costs of living, especially fuel. And I've never once increased my prices for walks since starting the business. And it's not a decision I have taken easily. And I am providing 2 weeks notice for people to keep this as fair as possible.

My hourly rate will be £16 for one dog and + £6 for any extra

Half an hour rates are now at £12

Training rates are to stay the same.

I will review these rates again in a few months time and see the difference they have made.

I hope everyone understands. But I can't sustain with the pricing of everything at the moment. I've seen other people in the same field of work do the same and I've tried to hold off for as long as possible.

If anyone has any concerns, please message me directly

Summer is around the corner. Watch the heat and drink plenty of water. Make sure you carry a foldable bowl and water for your dogs. If it's too hot, wait for it to cool down.

Annual leave. A time for rest, self reflection and time with my own dogs.
Kyrie is having more training. Specifically live stock avoidance.
