Snowball 💔🐰 You deserve to be remembered💕
Although we run a guinea pig rescue, from time to time we take in other animals who are suffering from severe neglect and need somewhere safe to go. Sadly, this little boy was surrendered to us anonymously, and by the time he reached us, he was already incredibly poorly. 😢
However i would like to thank the anonymous surrenderer for bringing him to us and not letting him suffer any longer (Snowball was saved & brought to us by these lovely people).
Unfortunately Snowball had a severe case of myxomatosis. Because he was unvaccinated, he had unfortunately contracted one of the worst forms of the disease. It had caused devastating damage to his lungs, liver and entire reproductive tract. He had one of the worse cases i’ve ever seen of mites, his nails were unbearably long leading to deformities & he was just slowly giving up😢
His prognosis was just 5–10 painful days at most💔
Snowball was in immense pain and incredibly uncomfortable, and we knew the kindest thing we could do for him was to let him go peacefully. 🌈
So, for the short time he had with us, we gave him exactly what every little animal deserves: love, cuddles, comfort and lots of treats. ❤️
It is such a heartbreaking outcome, especially knowing that the help he needed came just a few weeks too late. We only wish he could have been helped sooner.
Run free, beautiful Snowball. You were loved, even if it was only for a short while. 💔
