Price list as of 1/7/2024

Due to the ever increase of running a business I have no choice but to charge the following.

Also bacs payments will stop !!!! Fed up of chasing money, unless sent 24 hours prior and I’m notified (changing banks so will have to ask for new bacs details)
Cash on day or I will be carrying a card machine as of 1/7/2024.

Full new set £105
Fronts trim hinds 65
Full trim £30
Road studs / pins £5
4x stud holes £5 8x stud holes £10

Pads & packing, bar shoes etc, price per application ( generally as an idea for some, front set with pads and packing is the same price as a full set, so £105 plus hinds @ 52.50 = £157.50 )

⚠️Customers ⚠️

From the 1st April 2022 there will be a price increase (it’s been 5 years) due to the huge increases in my out going’s I have no choice, the effort shoeing horses takes and the profit made, a full time lorry driver sitting on his back side earns more, paid holiday and gets a pension most likely. Also doesn’t have to do an hour or twos unpaid work when they get home, scratching their head where they can fit clients in the diary because they don’t book in 5/6/7 weeks ahead and petals lost a shoe because it’s probably 2 weeks over due so its a ‘please Dan can you come out asap’
invoicing and chasing money,
That brings me on to my next rant, invoices / Bacs payments. Cash on the the day is always preferred ! I’m sick of chasing money, I pay then and there when I go to the fuel station or buy my stock, so why can’t people when I shoe your horse(s). Invoices that aren’t paid within the 14 days as stated on the invoice will be automatically sent again on the 15th day with a 10% increase.

Anyway rants and moans over, price list as follows,

Front pair & trim hinds…. £50
Full trim £25
8x stud holes £10 4x stud holes £5
Road pins… £5

Bar shoes, pads etc… POA

After some thought and advice from DEFRA I have decided to stop work until at least the 6th April. Traveling round yard to yard is to risky and a threat to mine and your health even with all the precautions I'm taking. People already booked in, I will be in contact but for now unless its an emergency like a shoe half on / off or abscess which is a welfare issue then please be patient.

Many thanks to 1st Class Images for allowing us to publish this cracking photo of Past Master and HOYS steward John Peacock presenting the overall Best Shod Horse award to Mathew Ainsworth riding Foxridge Secret Mile owned by Emma Allum from the Heavyweight Show Hunter Class. The Farrier was Daniel Garlic DipWCF. Congratulations to all concerned and that just about wraps up another wonderful season of WCF competitions.

To anyone that doesn’t know, I’ve gone and stupidly broken my collar bone, and will be off for a little while. I have got friends covering my work load, I will contact you ASAP if your booked in to let you know contact details of whom will be able to come instead of myself.

And to those that I’ve already spoken too and received messages, thank you for the kind words. Hopefully be fixed sooner rather than later.
