The festive season is the time for indulging and your dog can enjoy some tasty treats too! However some Christmas foods are dangerous and can even be fatal to dogs so make sure you've checked the food is safe before you offer it to your furry friend.

🚨 IMPORTANT: Chocolate contains the chemical theobromine, this is very toxic to dogs, even in small quantities. Remove any temptations; don't use chocolate coins as Christmas tree decorations, keep advent calendars out of reach, put selection boxes up high and avoid leaving wrapped chocolate gifts under the tree. Dogs have an amazing sense of smell and could still sniff out the chocolate temptation even if it's wrapped.

With the new cat microchipping legislation in England coming in on 10 June 2024, if you have a new kitten, you may be wondering when you would need to get them microchipped by.

All cats need to microchipped by the time they are 20 weeks of age, this could be done in the comfort if there own home.

How old is your ? If you live in England and Wales, and your XL Bully was over one year old on 31 January this year, this is your three month reminder! ⏰

Neutering will be compulsory for your dog by 30 June 2024, so we recommend you speak to your vet practice as soon as possible to arrange an appointment for your dog to be neutered. By booking in plenty of time, you will ensure you meet this deadline set out by the government and you comply with your Certificate of Exemption.
