Sue Ospreay…As your time as Mayor comes to an end, we wanted to say a huge thank you for all the support you have shown Wellgate Farm over the years.

It has always been a pleasure to welcome you to the farm, and we are so grateful for the genuine interest, encouragement and kindness you have shown to our animals, young farmers, staff and visitors. Your visits have always meant a great deal to us.

Thank you for being such a wonderful supporter of our community. We wish you all the very best for whatever comes next and hope you’ll still find time to pop by and visit us at the farm!

Volunteering is a great way to gain new skills and experiences whilst meeting new people and can have great benefits for both mental and physical health.
If you think you can spare a few hours a week or are just looking for personal development or a new challenge come and join the team
There are a variety of roles and tasks for those that volunteer with us including;

On this beautiful sunny day, we are celebrating the heavenly 14th birthday of one of our young farmers Bailey🕊️🌈🎂

Today we’re celebrating the wonderful cheekiness, laughter, and joy you brought to our Farm family. Though you’re no longer with us, you’ll always be a part of our club and our hearts, and we know you’ll be having a brilliant 14th birthday celebration up there looking (or laughing) down at us all🎈

Goat cuddles are officially everyone’s new favourite activity 🐐💛

We’ve loved seeing everyone meeting, cuddling and bonding with our goats- and they’ve loved it just as much!🫂

Sessions are still available — Make sure to come down and get involved!…

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
At Wellgate Community Farm, the on-site car park is quite small and often fills up quickly, especially on weekends and during school holidays.

If you see “CAR PARK FULL”, you have a few good alternatives:

Roadside parking nearby is generally permitted on surrounding residential roads, where signage allows.
Some visitors report using nearby free parking options and then walking a short distance.
Public transport is also convenient, with bus routes 62, 247, and 362 stopping close to the farm.

The farm itself is open daily from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and entry is free.

If you're visiting, I recommend parking on nearby streets and walking in, as spaces in the farm's small car park tend to turn over as visitors leave.
Please do pay attention to our volunteers and staff that sometimes help us with the car park and not park over the front emergency gates .
