Meet Alice 🐾🐶🫶

Alice came to see a vet as she wasn’t feeling well. On examination we found out that Alice had a fever and some discharge. We performed an ultrasound and confirmed that Alice had a pyomerta which classifies as an emergency ‼️

☝️Pyometra, also known as "pyo", is a serious and potentially fatal bacterial infection of the uterus that affects female dogs. It's caused by hormonal changes in the reproductive tract and can occur in any sexually intact young to middle-aged dog, but is most common in older, unneutered dogs. The infection causes the uterus to become inflamed and fill with pus and bacteria, which can make the dog very sick.

We are happy to report that Alice recovered well and feels much better now 👏🎉🥰

Our sweet girl Maggie ♥️🐾🐶

Maggie is an older lady who has many health problems like epilepsy, liver disease, heart murmur so has to take medications regularly.🩺💊🫀❤️‍🩹
She desperately needed a dental procedure as had a wobbly tooth which had to be removed 🦷

We scaled her teeth as best as we could 👩‍⚕️🩺However , as dogs age, their teeth naturally lose some of their pearly white appearance. Minor brown discoloration is often a normal part of the aging process. ☝️

We wish our little star a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹

Unfortunately every day we seeing dogs with grass seeds. Most of the time we have to sedate them to be able to remove a grass seed 🐶💉
☝️Most common place for a grass seeds is ears but also they can be found in paws, nose, eyes 👀

We pulled out the grass seed and we are happy to say that Brian feels much better now 👏⭐️🐾

☝️Unfortunately we are seeing dogs with grass seeds every day due to grass seed season ❗️

☝️During the grass seed season it’s best to avoid areas with long grass ❗️

☝️If you think your dog might have a grass seed , contact your vet as soon as possible ❗️
