Nelly’s progress is a fantastic example of what consistent, thoughtful training can achieve.

When we first started, she found the world incredibly exciting — wanting to greet every person who walked past, struggling to listen in public spaces, constantly on the go, and needing to investigate every inch of her environment. Settling was a challenge, and her ability to regulate herself around distractions was limited.

Fast forward to now, and Nelly is able to relax and settle calmly in a pub garden environment, even with people walking past. This is a huge milestone.

A key part of this process has been removing the reliance on food as a form of bribery. Instead, the focus has been on helping Nelly genuinely understand how to regulate her own behaviour and feel comfortable in stimulating environments. The goal is not just compliance, but true relaxation and emotional balance.

Her progress speaks for itself — a calmer, more focused dog who can now navigate previously overwhelming situations with confidence.

Really proud of how far she’s come.
