🐾🏆 What a fantastic week of shows! 🏆🐾

Sorry for the delay in posting these results from last week — I went straight back into work as soon as I got home from the shows & then school holidays, dogs and the girls pony … where on earth does time go ?! 🙈

We’ve had some amazing results over the last couple of shows and I couldn’t be more pleased with my young boy. He’s a character to live with and as a family we just adore him ! ❤️ we’ve put some miles in already him & and I it’s great to get the buzz back a little bit 🤏

What an absolute blast we have had at Blackpool Championship Show !
Catching up with old friends was fab, the weather just about held out for us and our results ? Well let’s just say Steve drove home on a cloud - thanks to the boy of the moment ..

Pride of Bully Red One (Bella’s boy Bear !!)

At just 6 months old he absolutely smashed his first big show, took all the fuss in his stride & behaved impeccably-

1st Minor Puppy Dog 🥇

Best Puppy Dog 🏵️

Best Puppy in Breed 🏆

PUPPY GROUP 3 !!!!! 💥 💥 💥

soooo proud of our little man!!

He was joined on Friday by “squirrel” (Pride of Bully Ducks in a Row)

Stood alone in Puppy Dog taking a worthy 1st place but oh my goodness this lad just sees the world as his play ground and standing still anywhere but home is beyond him 😂🥰🙈 back to ringcraft for Steve 😝
Thanks to Rebekah Hewitt for handling him in the challenge so I didn’t have to get on my knees !

For the girls our little “hermoine” (Pride of Bully Hermoine” is holding the forte beautifully! I just love this girl, she’s the most honest dog and never puts a foot out of place at home or in the ring. A true sweetheart (very unlike her namesake I feel lol )

1st Post Grad bitch

Many thanks to our judge on the day Ernie Patterson and Huge congratulations on all other winners - we were small in numbers but not in companionship, it really was a lovely day !

Looks like Steve might finally have his bug back after a few years out of the ring … unfortunately for me, our Bella B has her father same competitive streak … watch out for battle of the Braggers ! I don’t think it’s far off !! 😝🙈🤣🥰❤️

And this is why we recommend these guys to all of our bully families ! Your usual kennels as wonderful as they may be, just don’t “get” a bulldog ! Too many horror stories to mention … everyone deserves a holiday, but your bulldogs deserve the best too !

The bulldogs have spoken… and they’re choosing shade, snacks and absolutely no cardio today. ☀️🥵

Please, please think twice before walking your dogs in this heat. And not just bulldogs either. ALL dogs can overheat frighteningly fast in hot and humid weather.

A lot of people think “I’ll go early morning” or “late evening” but when the air is still heavy and humid, dogs can still really struggle to cool themselves properly. Brachy breeds especially, like bulldogs, can go downhill very quickly.

Truthfully? No dog ever died from missing a walk for a few days. But heatstroke can and does kill.

A few simple ways to help keep your dogs comfortable:

• Keep curtains and blinds closed during the hottest parts of the day• Fans on and airflow moving through the house• Cool mats, damp towels and shaded areas available• Fresh water everywhere — not just one bowl• Frozen enrichment treats and stuffed Kongs work brilliantly• Avoid over excitement and rough play indoors too• NEVER leave dogs in conservatories, caravans or cars• Garden access only when there’s proper shade available

And remember… if the pavement feels hot to your hand, it’s far too hot for paws.

Our lot are embracing the “rotisserie chicken recovery position” in front of the fan until further notice. 😂

Stay safe everyone and keep those squishy faces cool ❤️

The weather is warming up and this is where we as bulldog owners have to switch our mindset.

Early morning and late evening walks only, when it’s cool enough for them to cope. If it feels warm to you, it’s already too much for them.

And let’s be really honest for a second… in the height of summer, sometimes the safest walk is no walk at all.

No dog has ever died from missing a walk or two. But dogs absolutely do die from heatstroke and it happens fast, brutally fast, especially in our breed.

Bulldogs are not built for heat. They will keep going to please you long after they should have stopped. That’s on us to manage.

So swap walks for garden time, enrichment, paddling pools, shaded chill time and use your common sense over your routine.

Protect them. They rely on you to make the right call.
