Okay… not the best of my photo taking, but we took the doggies to a private hire field yesterday (Tuesday) while I was off work! Even though it was my birthday, and we did indeed celebrate it, I like to spend quality time with my little family. It ended up being a bit too warm for them both, so they spent half their time chilling in the grass and in the shade. Bless ‘em x

As a result of recent experience I will be sharing my cancellation policy online (this can also be provided as a paper copy). I have thought long and hard about doing this. Almost 4 years. I understand the importance for small businesses of having all their policies in place and viewable.

However, my small business has always depended heavily upon trust, positive relationships and open dialogue. I believe that is how small businesses can survive and thrive - and how local businesses can best support local people - in a challenging economic landscape.

On the downside, cancellations at very short notice with subsequent refusal to pay anything at all (when I have already invested time, energy and fuel costs to meet that commitment) are not helping my small business to stay economically viable.

I am incredibly grateful to so many of my clients for your understanding, friendship and support, for giving me the privilege of caring for your dog, and for the day-to-day conversations we enjoy, online and face-to-face.

You make me smile, you make caring for your dog a pleasure, and you are helping to keep a small local business afloat. Thank-you.
