Well that’s the week, month, year and Poppy Dogs Ripon over. 😢
Very hard decision to make, on a number of levels. Love of outdoors, love of photography and the absolute love of all dogs. 🫶❤️
Thing is, I haven’t been able to extend my left leg fully for about 6-8 months. The pain at times would have killed a normal person. 🤔🤦😂😂
In that time I’ve had numerous treatments, to help me maintain a certain level of mobility to walk the Gang Members throughout the days, weeks and months.
It came to a head whilst being treated of late and the lightbulb actually switched on and I resigned myself to the fact, if I didn’t retire then injury would retire me and possibly bu**er me up hereon.
Gutted, distraught, overwhelmed by wave after wave of emotions this week. I can’t begin to tell you how much I loved my job and the Gang. 😭😭😭
However, I can’t stay immortal forever🤔🤦😜. All Gang Members have been re badged and joined other Gangs, in readiness for my retirement. I made sure of that 👍🏻❤️
I’m still about, still insured and still keeping the van. So if anyone is stuck at any point and I can help- then you know I will. I just can’t do pack walks and risk further damage. 😣😣
As some of you know, it was more than just dog walking for me, if was a big part of my life and who I am - if you like, the dogs were Therapy. 🤜💥
I’ve made loads of friends since starting the company and definitely don’t want to lose any - so If the kettle is on let me know, and I’ll pop round, as I’m going to chillax and do much needed diy at home up to the new year. Remember - it’s good to talk but make sure you have cake if you invite me otherwise I’m not coming.
If you want my personal phone number for contact let me know.
The Poppy Dogs hotline will be getting turned off in a week or so. The page will be left open - forever and I’m contactable via Facebook messenger too.
I’m lighting the fire soon and settling down for an evening of crap TV and Vin Rouge 🍷 Cheers 😜.
I’m also going to be kept on my toes with walking Vespa and our new arrival - Korra. 😮😮😁
I hope you all continue to make memories with your loved ones. Thanks for letting me be a part of them for the last 3.5 years.
This is me signing off for the last time 😭
BE SAFE STAY SAFE BE STRONG
Peace Out Garry ✌️❤️
