The suns finally coming out! That means longer days which means longer hacking! Here is a good example of one of the long hacks near the stables.
This hack is just next door to the yard, it is a very beautiful long hack to do. This hack has lots of opportunity’s to slowly walk and take in the view as well as places to trot as well as canter! ☀️

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THE HAIRY LEMON 🍋

I’ve been fortunate to have hairy since I was just 16 and loved him ever since.

For anyone that doesn’t know me. I use to hate thoroughbreds!
Purely because of the stigma around them. Grew up riding cobs (tinker being the biggest ‘educator’😂) and thought I’d never see the day where I sit on a skinny legged creature.

That opinion soon changed when my dad rocked up horse in hand and said ‘there you go’ and ever since that day. I absolutely adore the breed.
Capable of everything and I do litrally mean everything.
This horse has hunted, show jumped, flew round xc but I could put your nan on his back and he wouldn’t bat an eyelid. Dressage tests, rounded up cows, and happily switches into a western saddle when we so fancy. More recently spent time in the show ring and placing regularly. Competed at hickstead aged 22 and great Yorkshire show aged 24. Even getting into the second round of a huge huge class!

Onwards and upwards for this young man who is showing no signs of stopping.
Thank you Hairy for teaching me everything I know and being the reason I still love horses to this day.
