Yesterday we said 'See you soon' to Ivy who has been visiting us for treatment over the past few weeks to help gain strength and confidence ahead of Femoral Head and Neck Surgery tomorrow at her vets.

Ivy is usually very anxious in new environments but over the past few weeks we have gained her trust and she now comes in excited for each session.

We hope your surgery goes well Ivy & we look forward to helping you with your recovery. 💦🐾

Meet small but mighty Fudge 🐾

Weighing 4kg, he's the smallest dog we treat! He visits us following IVDD surgery & is very partial to a bit of primula cheese during his session! 🧀

Well done Fudge! 🌟

Bonnie joins us each week to help manage her Arthritis.

Her session begins with laser treatment to help warm her muscles and reduce inflammation before entering the pool. 💥💦

At the age of 12, Bonnie's weekly sessions are helping her remain mobile so she can still enjoy long walks with her owners.

Well done Bonnie 🌟

Murphy has started his hydrotherapy journey to help him recover from an iliopsoas strain.

Hydrotherapy is a fantastic way to rebuild strength, improve mobility, and support healing while minimising stress on the injured muscle. Every session is an important step towards getting Murphy back to the active, happy life he loves.

Well done Murphy 🌟

Meet sweet Toffee! 💙 Here she’s working as part of her session to help stabilise her luxating patellas. 🦴

Luxating patellas are a common orthopaedic condition in small breed dogs. While physiotherapy and hydrotherapy can’t change the anatomy, it can play a vital role in improving stability of the patella, reducing discomfort, and supporting long-term joint health.

By strengthening the muscles around the knees, hips, and core, we can help:
🐶 Improve joint stability
💪 Build muscle to better support the kneecaps
⚖️ Enhance balance and coordination
🚶 Improve movement and confidence
❤️ Reduce the risk of further injury and slow progression of symptoms

Exercises like these balance cushions challenge Toffee’s proprioception (body awareness), encouraging the small stabilising muscles to work harder and helping her become stronger and more coordinated.

Every rehabilitation programme is tailored to the individual dog’s needs, ensuring exercises are safe, effective, and progressed at the right pace.

Toffee is doing an amazing job, and every session is another step towards stronger, more confident movement!

Well done Toffee! 🌟

🐈Meet Muffin🐈

This lovely lady came in for a Physiotherapy session today to help improve her comfort, mobility and quality of life.

Cats are masters at hiding pain, so subtle changes like jumping less, hesitating on the stairs, sleeping more, or becoming less playful can all be signs that they're struggling.

If you’ve noticed your cat slowing down, don’t assume it’s “just old age.” There may be ways to help them feel more comfortable and enjoy life again. 😺🐾

🌞 Hot weather notice for our clients 🐾

With the warm weather continuing, we'd like to reassure everyone that your dog's comfort and safety are our top priorities.

🚿 We have turned our shower temperatures down so your dog's shall be cool for the journey home when rinsed off after their session.

🌳 Please try and get your dog to toilet in the garden at home before visiting to prevent them needed to walk round outside before entering the centre.

💦 We have cold bottled water available for our clients, please ask one of the team if you would like one during your visit.

🌡️ While we have measures in place to keep the centre as cool as possible, if we feel the environment has become too warm to provide effective treatment for your dog, we may need to re-schedule appointments. If this happens, we'll contact you as soon as possible.

🕣Over the next few days, we have some morning appointments available. If you are booked in for the afternoon but would prefer earlier when it is cooler please get in touch.

Thank you for helping us keep your dogs, comfortable, and happy during the hot weather. We look forward to seeing you soon! 💙🐶

Today we celebrate Wilma who attended her 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣th Hydrotherapy session with us! 👏🏼🥳

Wilma began treatment with us for hindlimb weakness and four years on is still doing very well with her mobility.

Hydrotherapy is a great tool to help slow down deterioration in a dogs condition helping them to remain stronger for longer!

Well done Wilma ⭐️
