I have seen a lot of posts recently about how to cool down a dog with heat stroke. The answer is 'as fast as possible'. Wet towels, cold water, anything that is colder than the dog.
A lot of posts about how hot is too hot. Depends on the breed, the overall fitness, whether it is overweight. If in doubt don't take it out. No dog ever died from missing a walk.

Now is the time to check your pet’s microchip details are up to date. Having the correct phone number and details registered is the fastest way to reunite you with them should they become spooked during fireworks.
Always remember to walk your dogs before dark and ensure all pets are indoors before dark 🎆 🐾

If you are wondering why the newsfeed isn't full of dog photos - I don't like to advertise where I am with which dogs! If you would like photos of your dog 'out and about' I am happy to PM them to you. I am always conscious that it wouldn't take much effort for a thief to work out where my regular walks take me.

If you are looking for a dog groomer, Vanity Fur VIP have done a fabulous job of Dave. Located in Sherburn in a purpose built grooming parlour, Mel is an experienced groomer who has a lovely manner which put Dave at ease and reassured me that he would be fine. He was more than fine and he looks a million dollars.
