This weekend we said goodbye to a treasured family member. How is it possible to love an adopted, prickly, somewhat aloof, pretty old lady so much? Peanut, we will forever love you, your beautiful face, and your ever so slightly huffy, puffy moodiness. You reminded us daily that we are all a little prickly at times, but that those prickles relax when we feel safe, and on the other side is a very soft heart that we reveal to those we trust.
