Introducing miss Salsa (fawn albino) & miss Guacamole (aka wee mole, grey) who have joined MacSpaniel HQ, after being relinquished to The Underheugh Ark Rescue, along with their siblings.
These little ones are a prime example of why not to buy animals from pet shops. Their mums were bought, after a lot of searching, as 2 boys to bond with their owners boy gerbil who had lost his brother. A few months down the line & 2 surprise litters, definitely sexed incorrectly, which is surprisingly common in pet shops. Thankfully their owner was really responsible & sought advice & support from Underheugh Ark.
There are always so many small animals in rescues across the country, please adopt & don't fund pet shops selling small animals & housing that doesn't meet minimum welfare standards.
These little ones will have a life of luxury, just waiting for their penthouse suite to arrive.
They have settled in amazing, with both girls having the best time on their wheel (maybe they'll teach Taco & Nacho to use a wheel, for more than just eating sunflower seed 🤣).
