Desperate appeal to find life-saving dog
BY OLIVER DYSON
FRIDAY 15TH MAY 2015

A LIFESAVING assistance dog has gone missing prompting a Darfield couple's desperate appeal to find him.

Peter and Emma Elliott, from Bly Road, are looking for their Patterdale terrier Tyke, who is trained to be able to identify when Emma is about to suffer a seizure.

Tyke saved her life last year when she suffered a fit downstairs, alerting Peter to the situation and giving the paramedics enough time to get Emma to hospital.

Peter, 66 said: "It is important we get this dog back before my wife has another seizure, otherwise she may die."

Tyke, who is micro-chipped, is described as having a face 'like a mini staffy', with black and stripes down his front.

If you have information about Tyke, contact Peter on 341199.

*********** HAVE YOU SEEN SYBIL - Please share this on your FB Pages.

Hi Horley,

I posted about 36 hours ago about our owl. After 36 hours of constant watching instead of coming down to take the food we had left out, Sybil took off over fields behind our house.

In spite of our explaining that this bird will die in the wild, the woman who owns the field refused to allow us to go in and try and drive our pet back towards our garden. We were unable to find a way into her field.

Sybil is now therefore lost. We hope that she will not stray too far, and may even come back to the tree she has been in for the last two days. However, the bird was lost in the fields around Balcombe Road, The Close, Haroldslee Drive.

Please keep a watch on the trees in the area. If you see her please do not approach as she is very nervous and could fly off.

Ring Sara on 07775712401.

This is what Sybil looks like.

We have alerted the police so if you see her but cannot get hold of our number please let Surrey Police know.
