Familiar sight? Make sure you're drying your horse's legs thoroughly if you are compelled to wash the mud off, and apply a good barrier cream to prevent mudfever. If you suspect mudfever, get in touch.

Have you heard about the update to FEI regulation? It will soon be necessary for vaccinations to be recorded in the FEI app.

The FEI website states "all equine influenza vaccines that have been given to the horse must be recorded in the horse’s passport and FEI HorseApp".

If you are competing at FEI, please ensure you have an account created on the app before your appointment (and don't forget your passport)!

Today, Carlos caught up with our lovely client Katy Jones to hear all about her incredible trip to Africa, where she took a suitcase stuffed full of bandages, wraps and supplies to be donated. She also donated her own time and stayed a while to volunteer helping the animals in Gambia 🙌

Celebrating the amazing work they do at the The Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust.

Is it just me or has it come around quickly..!? Less than 2 weeks until Christmas, so we wanted to take this opportunity (before your feeds fill up with festive messages) to wish you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

While we won't be taking routine appointments over the Christmas period (19th December - 7th January), the normal number will always be open for emergencies 24/7. For everything else, please contact the office on [email protected]

🎇🐴🐶🐱🎆 Should fireworks be banned?

While some may argue that fireworks are steeped in tradition, culture and history, it is possible that this pastime is passed its time. Do the benefits of these pretty displays outweigh the unintended negative consequences? What possible solutions are there for the safety and comfort of our furry friends?

We welcome your thoughts in the lead up to bonfire night.

A year has flown by, and what a year it's been! We have continued to bond with our family of clients, we have welcomed some incredible new animals, and we have sadly had to say goodbye to a few beloved animals too.

Carlos has enjoyed visiting your equids all across Surrey, building and maintaining a trusting relationship with them.

The team at Reigate Vets is proud and excited to enter into our second year, and we are currently accepting new clients.

Our brilliant vet Carlos has been running Reigate Vets single-handedly this past week without any support from the office, as Beej underwent some emergency surgery. We will be working double-time to respond to all your emails and appointment requests and we thank you for your patience.
