We regularly share this posters about settling in new dogs.
Sadly research says that up to 50 % of owners give up their rescue dog within the first six months.
😢😢😢😢😢. How awful not to give them a chance.
Dogs need time to settle, so we always recommend reading this poster which shows the stages of a new dog settling in well!
My own dog took a long time and was such hard work…, but 2 years later I can safely say it was worth it.
I’m so pleased with the support of an excellent behaviourist who encouraged and supported me to realise that all he needed TIME.
To feel safe, learn new commands, realise that we weren’t going to give up…💕💕
We are very excited that we will be with working alongside a qualified dog trainer soon who will support and help us assess dogs and their new families get the settling in part just right.
