This bun bun is one of ours and lives a fantastic life ! However, not all rabbits are so lucky. 🐰
Often purchased as an 'easy' first pet for children, they are actually anything but and require just as much care as a cat, dog or any other animal.
They require a LOT of space, secure shelter and a specific diet as well as all the usual veterinary care that all animals should have access too. Please do lots of research before adding a rabbit to your home 👑

March was Pet Anxiety Awareness month - well, we're a bit behind but we like to be different ! Many cats and dogs suffer with anxiety and stress, more so now than ever. We will be looking at what we can do to help them manage and some of the products available that can be used as a first line to avoid the use of medications.
First thing to do is to identify whether your cat or dog is showing signs of stress and these can be very subtle;
🐶panting
🐶nervous barking
🐶body language
Triggers can include
🐶being left alone
🐶car journeys
🐶loud noises - storms or fireworks
🐶family gatherings

This cutie came in today for a routine spay procedure. It is very difficult to keep cats from licking their wounds, and keeping them still !!! But it is very important that we do so to enable wound healing and to avoid infection. 😼
As you can see this little one was not overly enthusiastic about her lovely bonnet and the snazzy leopard suit wasn't appreciated either !🐆
Never mind, little one, only a couple more weeks and you get to enjoy the spring sunshine !👑

We have had our very own hero this week ! Our very own Groot, with a little help from Michael and the team, provided a life saving blood transfusion to the lovely little Gretel.
