With Autumn & Winter fast approaching, I just wanted to give everyone a little reminder about bringing your lovely doggos in for their grooms.
As much as I adore a good muddy, gritty, ๐ฉ-covered adventure, my macerator, blades and other very expensive equipmentโฆ sadly do not. ๐
Please ๐๐ ๐๐๐ bring your dog to me covered in mud, grit, sand, ๐ฉ or anything else theyโve enthusiastically collected on their travels! ๐ง๏ธ๐พ
Not only can this cause damage to my macerator and equipment, but it also makes pre-clipping much more difficult (and considerably less glamorous!) before we even get to the bathing stage.
Itโs also really important that I can properly check your dog over when they arrive โ I need to be able to see whatโs going on underneath all that โIโve just rolled in something questionableโ coating! ๐
If your dog does arrive excessively muddy, gritty or otherwise covered in outdoor treasures, ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ฐ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด/๐ฒ๐พ๐๐ถ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ฑ, similar to my matting fees. This is to cover any extra time, care, cleaning and potential equipment damage involved.
I completely understand that wet and muddy weather is part of having dogs โ I just ask that you either avoid muddy walks before your appointment or give them a quick clean/rinse where possible before bringing them in. โค๏ธ
And letโs be honestโฆ You wouldnโt turn up at your hairdressers covered in ๐ฉ, mud and half the contents of the parkโฆ so please donโt expect me to be delighted when your dog does! ๐
