At Bobby’s Buddies, your dog’s safety and wellbeing always comes first. During warmer weather, walks and outdoor activities may be adjusted to protect dogs from heat-related illnesses and unsafe conditions.

*Please note that if you’re at work and your dog’s time slot cannot be changed for an earlier walk, a house/garden visit will be done instead*

Our Warm Weather Policy

🐶 Walk Times May Change

During hot weather, walks may be moved to earlier mornings or later evenings when temperatures are cooler.

🐾 Shorter Walks in High Temperatures

If temperatures become too high, walks may be shortened to prevent overheating and heat exhaustion.

🌳 Shade & Cooler Routes

Where possible, shaded routes, grassy areas, and cooler walking environments will be prioritised.

💧 Hydration Breaks

Fresh water will always be available, and regular hydration breaks will be encouraged throughout walks.

🔥 Hot Pavement Safety

Pavements can become dangerously hot for dog’s paws. If the ground is too hot to touch comfortably, walks may be modified or replaced with toilet breaks and enrichment visits instead.

🚫 Extreme Heat Conditions

In extreme temperatures or heatwave warnings, walks may be cancelled for safety reasons. Owners will always be informed as early as possible.

❤️ Your Dog’s Health Comes First

Some dogs are more vulnerable to heat, including puppies, senior dogs, flat-faced breeds, and dogs with thick coats or health conditions. Extra care will always be taken.
