Notice!!!

After dad had passed I really lost my head and part of my heart had gone with him.

I lost some customers as they wernt happy at waiting while I took some time off so therefore through myself straight into work and had no time to myself or with family.

I had been toying with if to close the salon and and take some time out for myself and rebuild what had been broken.

I have made the decision to close the salon for the time being and I handed the salon back 2 weeks ago. I may come back to it I may not.

Can I just thank every single one of you beautiful customers and friends I have gained over the last 7 years and 5 years in Redcar
It was been a ride and pleasure to meet and know many of you.

If your looking for a good groomer please go see Lola Cook and Annemarie Mclintock, wouldn't send you anywhere else and these girls have been the best over the last 6 months to me . Groomer friends for life.

Thankyou to everyone and I will miss you all but I need to focus on myself for a while.

❗️PARVOVIRUS❗️

Parvovirus seems to be on the increase amongst some dogs again in the Teesside area. Be mindful where you walk your doggies and also ensure to keep up to date with your dog’s annual vaccines and any additional vaccines that can help prevent your dog getting parvovirus.

If your dog does have parvovirus, ensure to keep them indoors to prevent the spread or other dogs.

Parvovirus signs to look out for:
💩 Severe diarrhoea
🩸 Possibly blood in stool
🤮 Vomiting
🫩 Lethargy
👃 Very foul odour to body / stool
🤒 Fever / high body temperature - hot to touch
💧 Loss of appetite and not drinking / dehydration.
⚖️ Rapid weight loss and experiencing abdominal pain

If your pet is experiencing any of these signs, this is classed as an emergency and you must contact the vet right away for an appointment as this disease can be life threatening.

The sooner treatment starts, better chance of recovery. This can be a fatal disease.

I think that time has come again to have disinfectant outside of my salon to dip your feet before entering. Please if your dog is unwell even in the slightest please do not being him/her for her appointment, I took have dogs and puppies at home aswell so would like to protect them also

7th August at 12pm, 1pm (full groom)
12th august at 11am, 12.30pm (full grooms)
13th August at 11am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm (full grooms)

Appointments for August are more a less gone so be quick to avoid disappointment

❗Notice❗

starting with immediate effect will be deposit of 50% upfront at time of booking and rest after the groom has been completed.

Today I had a new client book in over a week n half ago for today, 11.30am came and went so at 11.55am I sent polite message you have now missed your appointment time so appointment cancelled but will still need to pay for the groom as now left me almost £60 down for today. Got a reply back saying I'm not late she at the groomers. Still refusing to pay for missed appointment. He had taken to wrong groomer and groomer took it knowing wasn't for them.

This isn't the first time this has happened this is my bread and butter and have a family to feed. I have been more than lenient with customers but sorry time to get harsh now!

Below is a picture of exactly what the fur does.
I find myself having to explain over and over again to customers.

So if you have a coated breed and you say oh it needs clipping right down because he/she is panting and over heating, this isn't exactly true, it's a myth that pet owners think.

A dog's coat works in 2 different ways, keeps them warm in the winter and in the summer the fur actually keeps them cool

As you can see from the diagram below, when you clip a dog right off it leaves it more exposed to the sun and therefore will be even hotter.

A dog will pant for many reasons and panting in the extreme heat actually helps them to regulate their body temp, it doesn't mean he/she is over heating.

Remember please do not be walking your dogs out and about on the pavements, a dog missing a walk never died but has from being exposed to direct heat. Please be cautious in what your doing with your dogs.

Having a walk on the beach or in town isn't worth risking your dogs life

❗ Notice❗

As temperatures rise today and this week we have a few notices.

1. If your walking your dog to your appointment if your dog is showing signs of being over heated or panting he/she will be turned away until temp has dropped.

2. If the salon gets above a certain temperature then all appointments will be cancelled straight away and everyone will get back in as soon as we can.

3. If your dog is in with us he/she will be done as soon as they have arrived, I will text/ring 10 mins before actually finished to give you time to get here. I would like all dogs collected promptly.

4. Please be on time, so if your appointment is at 11am I need you there for 11am, I don't want anyone early or late as most of my customers know what I'm like when we have this kind of heat.

Lastly don't forget a dog never over heated or died from not having a groom but has died from heat stroke. My customers of many many years will know the drill but this is for all customers who haven't been with us very long.

We have also lost a great amount of oldies to the rainbow 🌈 bridge so I have spaces for a few new clients.

Also prices on everything will go up by £2 on the 1st July
