Good morning everyone,

Following on from my recent post about my surgery, I wanted to share an update.

After my oncology appointment last week, I’ve been advised to undergo another course of chemotherapy. This will involve having a PICC line fitted and treatment every three weeks over the next 4–5 months. Unfortunately, the side effects can be quite debilitating, and I will also lose my hair during this time.

With this in mind, I’ve made the difficult decision to pause taking any new boarding bookings until my chemotherapy is complete and my PICC line has been removed. I will be contacting current boarders individually, as some arrangements may not be affected.

Once existing commitments are fulfilled, my focus will be entirely on my treatment and recovery. I’m hoping to be back boarding again later this year, and I’ll keep you all updated along the way.

Sadly, this also means Mac and I have had to cancel all travel plans and holidays, as I won’t be able to travel during treatment.

If you are in need of a boarder in the meantime, I recommend contacting your local council for a list of registered providers.

Thank you all so much for your understanding and support — it truly means a lot. I look forward to seeing all our lovely clients and their doggies again soon.

Wishing you all a wonderful summer with your dogs 🐾

Hopefully see you all very soon 😊😘🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

🐾 Maddie’s Place Update 🐾

Just a little update for all my lovely clients and future clients.

Maddie’s Place will be closed for bookings until the end of April while I recover from major surgery I had a week ago. Right now I need to focus on healing and taking things slowly.

Because of this, messages won’t be responded to until at least the end of March 2026, so please don’t worry if you don’t hear back during this time.

Thank you so much for your patience, kindness, and continued support. It truly means a lot. I’m looking forward to being back and seeing all your wonderful dogs again once I’m fully recovered. 🐶💛

Thank you for understanding.

🐾 Important Update from Maddie’s Place 🐾
Hi everyone,
We wanted to let our wonderful clients and friends know that Maddie’s Place Dog Boarding will not be taking any new bookings until around the 23rd of April. This is because Sue will be undergoing major surgery in March and needs time for a proper recovery — about six weeks.
All bookings that are affected have already been contacted via email, and refunds will be provided where necessary.
We truly appreciate your understanding, patience, and kind wishes during this time. Your continued support means so much to us and we can’t wait to be back caring for your beautiful dogs soon! 💕🐶
Thank you for bearing with us — we’ll see you (and your pups!) again before you know it.
With love,
Sue & the Maddie’s Place Team 🌸
