At Pets Plus, we stock a carefully chosen range of high-quality foods, including raw, cooked, wet, dry, semi moist, freeze dried and gently steamed options. Our friendly team can talk you through the different choices and help you find something that suits your dog, rather than simply picking a food off the shelf.

Whether your dog is fussy, has a sensitive tummy, needs a particular protein or you simply don’t know where to start, come and have a chat with us.

And because we’re an independent pet shop, we’ll get to know you and your dog. Before long, we’ll probably know your dog(s) by name too! 🐶

Due to reach 37°C tomorrow… so we’ll be closing at 4pm! 🥵

We’re taking the same approach as last time and closing a little earlier to keep our staff safe and give our freezers the best chance of coping with the heat. We’ve already unfortunately lost 2 freezers, so we really don’t want to risk any more!

😢Despite receiving a rather unfortunate Google review last time calling our staff “lazy” for closing early during 35°C heat… we’re still putting safety first!❤️ We completely understand early closures can be inconvenient, but these decisions aren’t taken lightly.

We’re also still waiting to hear from our engineer regarding the Dibo freezer, so unfortunately this will remain out of use until further notice.

Bella & Duke is coming to Pets Plus!

This is a brand that’s been requested by lots of our customers over the years, and we’re really pleased to finally welcome it to the freezers.

What ultimately made the decision for us was the quality of the food. The complete recipes contain just 3% bone, there’s an excellent range for puppies, adult dogs and cats, the ingredients are incredibly transparent, and they’re RawSAFE Certified too. It’s a range that we genuinely feel deserves a place alongside the brands we already stock.

If you’ve been buying Bella & Duke online already, you’ll soon be able to pick it up from us while you’re in store. And if you’ve never tried it before, we’re always happy to talk you through the range and help you choose the right recipe for your pet.

We know lots of people discover brands online, but there’s something special about being able to pop into your local pet shop, ask questions, buy only what you need, and support a local family business at the same time.

To our local customers who usually shop for their raw food online, or those who don’t often get the chance to visit us in store, please be aware that many suppliers and courier networks have temporarily paused shipments due to the extreme temperatures.

If your delivery has been delayed or cancelled this week, don’t panic - we’ve got you covered! 🐾

We’re open all week and fully stocked with an amazing selection of raw foods. So if you’re struggling to get hold of your pet’s usual food, now is the perfect time to pop in, discover what’s available locally, and support your independent pet shop at the same time.

Please note that, to help protect our stock and give our hardworking freezers (&staff) a chance to recover during the heatwave, we will be closing at 4:30pm today, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
