Looking after the handsome little ‘Raven’ this weekend, one of the male pups from Angel’s recent litter! He’s coming along so beautifully and is an absolute superstar in training already! We’ve worked on a bunch of stuff today but the main goal was to improve his focus on hand lures and start encouraging him to push into the hand, giving him access to his reward (kibble). Of course, he absolutely smashed it and is now shattered and fast asleep on the sofa🤩.

Overall, I am honestly just so happy that he got to reunite with Angel as she was ecstatic when he got dropped off this morning and it’s safe to say I missed this little guy like crazy too! I’m beyond content to be looking after him and pleased to be getting a tonne of puppy cuddles again!🥹🥰

Even managed to get them all to sit still at the end of training for a cute group photo!😍

Just thought I’d come on here to apologise for not being active on social media😩

I’ve been grafting away with Angel, Shadow and Timber as usual but have also been cracking on with our two latest pack additions; a rescue GSD called Otto and a GSD puppy called Chaos!

Otto was dog reactive (fear based) when he first came to us, he had multiple big kick offs at Angel, Shadow and Timber, actually lunging at the end of the lead and trying to bite them to try and warn them off even at a far distance. However, with very careful introduction and successful application of discipline, within 24hrs, he was initiating play with them and snuggling up to them on the sofa. Now he’s hardly batting an eyelid at the sight of other dogs when out and about and still plays like a lunatic with the rest of the pack so the hard work has really paid off with this guy!

We picked Chaos up at 8 weeks old and dived straight into building all of his foundations. We started engagement building, relationship building, crate training, toilet training, hand luring, basic obedience and general manners from the second we picked him up and he is coming along beautifully! Chaos has very solid engagement already and absolutely loves to work day and night, he’s already becoming a very well rounded pup and I’m super excited to see where this little guy is heading!😍

Anyways, you’ll see some videos of them all very soon but here’s a photo of the new pack from yesterday, no one understands the difficulty I had trying to capture something half decent like this🤣🥰

Meet Milo!

This little guy had an amazing first session working on his people, dog and traffic reactivity. Generally Milo has some really nice engagement already, he walks nicely on the lead and his recall is pretty good too, all of which are super beneficial when working on behavioural issues like reactivity so his owners were definitely on the right track.

All this boy needed was a little bit of clarity in the communication between him and his handlers and some continued confidence building. After working on the practical elements involved in reactivity training, we spoke about strengthening Milo’s engagement even further and discussed the importance of prolonged exposure in order to reach his handlers long term goal which is to guide Milo into becoming a very well rounded, happy little dog! He is well on his way to becoming exactly that so I’m looking forward to the next session with these guys!😇.

A brilliant session with Toffee and Ivy the other day!

The engagement of both dogs is coming along beautifully and we even got Toffee taking his food outside for the first time in his life so that was a huge achievement in itself! Hard work is paying off with this little guy especially😍

We’ve also made tonnes of progress with their dog reactivity, to the point where we’re rarely getting any reactions from either of them now. They’ve come a very long way and yes, they may still have quite a way to go in regards to becoming a pair of all round, neutral dogs but we are definitely going to get them there! Always a pleasure working with these two!🤩

Had such a wonderful day with clients yesterday running another environmental session and multiple 1-2-1s. Seeing the progress these guys are making in every single session, just reminds me how much I love this job! Getting to help dogs live a better, less stressful life day in day out but also supporting the owners in shaping their dog into a loving, lifetime companions❤️.

Yesterday we had a mix of new and current clients attending the group session and they ALL absolutely smashed it. We had a range of different breeds, both big and small, all different personalities and all working on a bunch of different issues but every single owner came with the same positive mindset and all had an amazing session with their dogs! I’m so proud of every single one of you and I’m so unbelievably grateful to be a part of your training journeys, keep up the hard work and I’ll see you all next month for another great session🥰🐶. More videos to follow!

Something completely new for Shadow… a little bit of heel work and obedience in the water😍💧

Understandably he didn’t want to go down in the water but he gave it a go at least🤣 Overall a really great session of confidence building and proofing his behaviours!

Super proud of my girl for being so calm and gentle with these cows who swarmed us as we were walking through the park to go home, absolutely love how sound and neutral she is with the world, a lovely experience for us both!🥰
