🌾 GRASS SEED SEASON IS HERE! 🐾
They may look tiny, but grass seeds can cause big problems for our furry friends.
These sharp little seeds can work their way into your dog’s:
👂 Ears
👃 Nose
👁 Eyes
🐾 Paws
🦴 Skin
Left untreated, they can lead to painful infections and may even require surgery to remove.
💜 After every walk, remember to check:
✔️ Paws (especially between the toes)
✔️ Ears
✔️ Eyes
✔️ Nose
✔️ Around the coat, particularly on fluffy breeds
As a groomer, I always keep an eye out for grass seeds during appointments, but regular checks at home are just as important.
If your dog suddenly starts:
• Excessively licking a paw
• Shaking their head
• Sneezing repeatedly
• Squinting or has watery eyes
• Has discharge from the nose or ears
