We are thrilled to announce that Ray will be going home with his new Mum and Dad in a few weeks and will live a wonderful life with Debbie and Alan. Thank you so much everyone for sharing to get this boy a home. Heartbreakingly his previous mum passed this morning, we hope she will be at peace knowing her boy will receive all the love that she once gave him. 💔

Please note the sanctuary will be closed from this Saturday for a week due to a family holiday. Our dedicated team of volunteers and friends will be looking after the animals and unfortunately will not have time to welcome people to the sanctuary. We look forward to welcoming you all to our open day in a few weeks.

UPDATE: Ray has found his forever home! Thank you everyone for sharing.
PLEASE HELP. Ray has found himself in a heartbreaking situation where his owner that loved him dearly has heartbreakingly gone into a hospice. We cannot express our sorrow for both after they had finally found each other.
Ray is heartbroken and not doing well in kennels.
Please has anyone got a settee and lots of love to give this boy a home. He is perfect in the house and with people but please note he will kill cats and can’t be trusted with small dogs when left alone. So a home as the only dog or a large dog of his size is preferable. He is perfect meeting other dogs. He has to be muzzled when out due to his high prey drive. Anyone with experience of ex racing greyhounds that can offer a forever home will not regret taking him on.

Sugar went to one of our wonderful volunteers last night that offered to take her on short notice for fostering. She lay near her belongings most of the evening 😢. She will be looking for her forever home in a few weeks.

We had no choice but to take this little dog and cat in as the owner turned up out of the blue ten minutes ago at our home and threatened to dump them at our gates if we didn’t take them in! Both not neutered or vaccinated. As a rescue and a charity this pushes us to the limits but how can we not help knowing what will happen to them. We were sorry to hear the women’s situation that she was leaving the country but these had been her companions for years! Any donations towards vets would be appreciated please
