Another month gone already! I had a wonderful week and a half off in July which included yet another trip to my favourite place (the lake district) and going to a concert I'd been excited for, for over 6 months! So a very exciting month for me personally but also I still got to snuggle with a bunch of my wonderful doggy clients ❤️

Betty ❤️
This beautiful little girl absolutely smashed her second ever puppy groom with me! She has such a spirited little personality and is progressing in her grooms really beautifully. We are working on her confidence with having her feet handled but her owners are doing a fab job of desensitising her at home so I have no doubt we will get there! I absolutely love getting to watch puppies grow and progress in their grooming journeys and I cant wait to see what a stunning little girl Betty is going to grow up to be! 🥰

The stages of a Puppy Groom ❤️

1. Introduction
I always give puppies a good 10-15 minutes to settle in the salon environment and get used to me, we have cuddles and they can sniff around wherever they want before eventually moving on to...
2. Bath
I introduce them to the bath very slowly, turning it on before they are in it so they know the sound and then pop them in and let them have a wander around and sniff before popping the water on and giving them a nice gentle bath.
3. They then get a lovely cuddle towel dry to absorb a lot of the excess water, besides helping them dry faster having a bit of a cuddle helps to calm them before starting the drying process.
4. Drying. I take my time when it comes to drying puppies! The dryer can be very scary, so in order to build confidence I take it slow and steady with lots of cuddles and treats!
5. Drying complete! Time for a break!
6. Trimming. A puppy groom for long haired breeds includes an eye, feet and bum tidy. The time this takes will vary greatly puppy to puppy!
7. Post groom snuggles, play and positivity!

Grooming is a life long requirement for so many breeds and starting them young is so important, so they can build a relationship with their groomer and learn that grooming can be a nice, relaxing experience.

Replacement brush head - £10
Prepaid 10 sessions - £180 (nearly a 30% saving on individual session price)

The number of treatments required to see results will vary dog to dog, depending on the condition of the teeth and behaviour of the dog.

I will be unable to carry out the emmi-pet teeth cleaning service on your dog if;
🪥 Your dog has loose or damaged teeth
🪥 Presents with any oral abnormalities such as swelling in the gums, ulcers, abcesses, etc
🪥 Your dog becomes aggressive or overly stressed during treatment

March has brought some really beautiful sunny days with blue skies which I am so grateful for! Any of my regular clients will tell you how much I loathe the grey gloomy weather so as soon as the sunshine and blue skies are back my windows are open and that means me and my gorgeous clients get to sit in the fresh air and sunshine when waiting for collection!
