⚠️There is now a confirmed case of Equine Flu in Somerset. The advice to equine clients is to remain vigilant and please contact your vet if you have any concerns with the health of your horse. ⚠️

Signs of equine flu include:-
Coughing
Dullness
Nasal discharge
Raised temperature (over 38.5c)

It is believed to be a new strain and guidelines indicate that if your horse has not been flu vaccinated in the last 6 months, it is recommended that they receive a booster.

If you have appointments booked in I am happy to reschedule if you are worried it’s better to be safe than sorry ! I am taking the necessary precautions but will not be able to treat if your horse or any horses on the yard are displaying these symptoms. 😷
