Grass seeds burrow fast, and once they're in, whether that's a paw, an ear, or an eyelid, they don't come out on their own.

After every walk in long grass, give your dog a once-over. Toes, ears, eyes. It takes less than a minute and could save a lot of discomfort.

If something looks off, call us sooner rather than later.

Meet June's Pet of the Month, Thunder. This beautiful boy came in for a partial tail amputation, and proved himself one very determined kitty, hence the extra protection he's donning.

We're happy to report he's on the mend and doing well.

It's grass seed season and it's worth knowing what to look out for.

Grass seeds are small, sharp, and designed to burrow. Once they get into paws, ears, or eyes, they don't come out on their own, and they can cause problems quickly for your pet.

After walks, check between your dog's toes, inside their ears, and around their eyes. If you notice them shaking their head, limping for no obvious reason, or pawing at their face, it's worth getting them checked sooner rather than later.
