We specialise in teaching beginners and offer hacking for experienced riders. We have a wonderful selection of horses and ponies for both adults and children. Three Greys Riding School is a family run business, which has been established since 1963. ienced riders and has a large number of horses and ponies to suit all abilities. We specialise in teaching beginners to ride and helping to build confidence to those who may have had a break from riding. We offer Private and Group lessons and escorted hacks on the South Downs and activities for Children during the school holidays.

‼️CUSTOMER NOTICE‼️

On Sunday 2nd November 2025 the northbound road will be closed on Clayton Hill. This is due to the London to Brighton Veteren Car Run. Clayton Hill changes to a one way system southbound only, meaning the road to the riding school will show as closed as you come off the A23.

Access will be given to Three Greys if you advise the traffic marshalls you need access to the riding school. Access will be given on request despite the road signs saying the road is closed. Please DO NOT let the traffic marshalls turn you away.

We recommend leaving a bit earlier and allowing plenty of time for your journey to us.
