Dorset Council have finished the works on Backwater and we're pleased to say the road is fully open. Thanks to the crew who carried out the works - apart from one delivery of concrete (about 30 minutes) we had access to our car park and were able to stay open at all times.
Thank you too to our clients for your patience in following diversions to get here.

Road works. For the next 3-4 weeks Backwater is closed to vehicle traffic from Blandford Road to adjacent to our entrance.
Please drive to the High street, turn left then left again on to Mill Street. You will see the signs in the photograph at the bottom of Mill Street and may carefully pass this closure sign.

ROAD WORKS

Those of you who have visited the practice recently will have noticed signs warning of the closure of Backwater.

We would like to assure you that although closures will be in force to general traffic, access to our practice will be maintained.

It may require entering Backwater from one end or the other, so please allow a minute or two extra in case you have to go via Mill St when you'd normally approach from the Moor/Blandford Road, or vice versa. We will try to update on here which end to approach from as we are updated on the works.

If you are having difficulties please call the practice and we'll try to assist

By the end of this our road will be less likely to fall into the river and may even have a lovely new surface

On Wednesday 29th January we have a whole team training morning so the practice will not be open, except for emergencies, that day.

You will not be able to order/collect medication or book appointments in person at the practice or on the telephone that morning. You can, as usual, order medication and book appointments via our website.

If you have a veterinary emergency during this time please call us on 01305 848820 and the answerphone will give you alternative contact details.

Thanks for your understanding,
Team Piddle Valley
