Iā€™m absolutely thrilled to share a huge milestone in my professional dog training journey.
After a full week of residential training at Harper Adams University, Iā€™ve passed my Advanced Instructor qualification with the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers (BIPDT) ā€” specialising in Field Trials.
Itā€™s not usual for students to go straight in at Advanced, and Iā€™m incredibly proud and excited to have met the required standard. My certificate was awarded in Instructional Techniques, Administration and Organisation, following a demanding week of assessments, teaching and practical work.
The course was fullā€‘on, challenging and hugely rewarding, and I simply wouldnā€™t have achieved this without the support of my fellow students, and the fabulous instructing team who guided us throughout.

Huge Congratulations to Pearl and Jane!

Two of my longā€‘standing clients, now great friends were placed at the Chiltern Gundog Society Novice AV Retriever Working Test on Sunday 23rd August at Brookend Green Farm, by kind permission of John and Mary Butterworth.

I was absolutely delighted to hear that Pearl won with Pallingforth Mirabelle of Artistryn, and Jane received a COM with Grintley Breeze.

Their messages meant the world to me:

Fabulous day today at Shotover, Oxfordshire. We met at 8am for an 8.30am early start to beat the heat. Setting up team scenarios in pairs and trios for blinds, memories and marks. Then we finished up at the stunning lake for some water retrieves on and over the water. Fabulous group of gundogs and handlers. More training days coming up soon

**** SPACE NOW FILLED****
One space has just become available for an earlyā€‘morning gundog training session on Friday 14 August at the stunning Shotover Park, Wheatley, Oxford.

Meet at 8.00am for an 8.30am start, finishing at around 1pm.

This session is suitable for the more experienced gundog with a complete retrieve. Thereā€™s plenty of shade for parking, and we can finish the morning with some water retrieves.

Ā£60 per handler, including a dedicated dummy thrower.
