For the past 20 years I’ve been very lucky and fortunate to be involved in the gundog community. I’ve supported Chiltern Gundog Society all the way, on the committee, taking training, retriever working test secretary and for many years now Chair. What a fabulous community we have, made life long friends and it will continue. I’ve decided to make a career of what I love doing and I’ve got commitment, passion and dedication to all of my wonderful clients. Love you all! I think in the last 20 years I’ve entered around 200 working tests, but have also helped, judged, been steward and supported so many. Long may our hobbies continue 🙂

Freddie is just over 6 months - I'm delighted with his focus (when the time is right and he's not jumping on my bushes at home!).

In the past few days I've been implementing the foundations that we've been working on at home to see how he can cope. Amazing! Such a good boy!

He will now have a good few days rest to continue to be crazy and a puppy!

But in the meantime, I will continue to work on his recall and heel work. How are your puppies getting on with their training?

BOOK NOW - NOVICE OR YOUNG GUNDOG
Due to unforeseen circumstances, one space has just become available on my Novice Gundog Training day at West Wycombe this Friday 17th October cost £75 for the full day (10am to approx 3pm with a break for lunch) you can swap dogs at lunch time if you have more than one).

It will be a total of 8 handlers in the group with a dedicated dummy thrower. Suitable for any breed of gundog. However, we will be working mainly on the retrieving element over parkland, in woodland, over obstacles and water!

Dogs need to be focussed, have a reliable recall and keen to hunt and retrieve.

🔸 9.30 – 10.00 am – Demo with Jennifer & her Labradors + Working Cocker Spaniel
🔸 10.30 – 12.30 pm – Novice Dogs (young dogs / new handlers)
🔸 1.00 – 3.00 pm – Experienced Dogs

👉 E.J. Churchill is conveniently located just off the M40, only 40 minutes from London, with plenty of parking and easy access. It’s the perfect spot to bring your dog for a mix of learning and fun.
